The Stables Reviews

A lovely place to stay and relax with family. Only a couple of things that came up during our stay which were that some of the pans weren't great, not enough toilet rolls and bin bags were provided so worth taking some with you, and some of the roads around wrangle could prove very difficult for some cars. That being said, we still had a lovely stay and would recommend.
Lovely 2 weeks at this very comfortable cottage. Hot tub is wonderful, and we enjoyed watching the rabbits in the garden. Loads to see and do in this area, Framtpon Marsh and Gibraltar Point, Tattershall Castle, Belton Hall and Doddington to name a few. Our second visit we stayed next door last time, but definitely not our last.
Robert
Lovely stay as before, couldn't find the freezer which we needed in the hot weather, couldn't find any temperature control for the hot tub but was a pleasure to stay and the kids loved the big open garden. Will definitely stay again.
Danielle
Absolutely beautiful, for a large family get together. Couldn't fault from start to finish, would gladly return again. Everything you need very close by and if you dont want to adventure out asda deliver we stayed a week and certainly didn't want to go back home. Also a plus if the weather is nice Skegness beach is just 30 minutes away if you have children, but the large garden area definitely kept them busy.
We enjoyed our stay at The Stables as it was convenient for the LWT and RSPB reserves we wished to visit. It was rather windy so we did not get an opportunity to use the hot tub, which was a shame. The Stables is a lovely and comfy place to stay. Our only down comment was the frying pans, both of which were unusable, so no omelette for Sunday brunch. We did see the barn owl coursing the ditches along the road, which was wonderful.
This holiday property was lovely! Really spacious inside and out the garden space was enormous. The kitchen was a great space for cooking and entertaining 3 little ones and the hot tub was a big hit! Highly recommend The Stables great location with Skegness beach only 25mims away and ARK zoowildlife within 10 3mins too!
Beautiful accommodation, quiet, spacious and clean. Perfect for all ages.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at The Stables. We had wall to wall sunshine from the day we arrived to the day we left. The property was extremely spacious and comfortable, exceeding our expectations. We would not hesitate to return in the future or recommend to anyone. Thank you for allowing us to experience The Stables.
Natalie
Pros The property was beautifully presented, and made very special with the decoration for Christmas. Check in was very easy with the key safe and the owner allowed us to go in a little early. The hot tub was suitable for 8 adults and the levels were checked by the owner while we were there to make sure the chemicals were okay. The property was clean other than one towel that was very stained, the rest of the property was very clean. The parking was sufficient for 3 cars without having to block each other in. The property was very quiet, there's another rental cottage next door but very separate. Things to consider There were no cleaning products, so we had to go out and buy our own to keep the place clean while we were there. And only 3 toilet rolls which isn't sufficient for a group of 8 for 3 nights. There isn't enough plastic cups for a big group for the hot tub lots of the plastic cups in the cupboard were cracked from previous guests and overuse so these need replacing. We had a really lovely time and thought the property was a nice place to spend our new year.
Great holiday accommodation, there was everything and more for us. 7 adults, one child and twin toddlers who loved running up and down the long corridor
Deborah
This is the second time staying here. The location is great and the house has everything you need, however cleanliness was not as good this time with the sinks being quite dirty and the floors being dusty. I appreciate that wood floors show the dust but it was clear they had not been cleaned as efficiently as our previous stay. In addition the red couch is quite dirty and we were all itching after sitting on it, this needs replacing or a thorough professional clean arranged.
Britney
We had such a fantastic holiday here! The property is beautiful. The one issue we had with the hot tub was sorted straight away and we cannot thank them enough for being so hands on and getting it working again! Thank you for a lovely stay and we look forward to returning again in the future!
We stayed as a family of 8 and our dog for a week in July. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. It had everything we needed. We arrived quite early and the owners were still at the property cleaning. But they let us sit in the garden area until the property was ready. The owners were welcoming and polite. It is a lovely quiet place to stay surrounded by beautiful countryside. But only a 25 minute drive into skegness. And only 4 minute drive to lincolnshore wildlife park, which we thoroughly enjoyed a visit to. We highly recommend this property and are hoping to stay again next year.
Michelle
A beautiful property that had everything we needed. The blurb about the stables was exactly right and the photos were accurate so we were not disappointed. The beds were super comfortable and we will definitely be returning. Lots to do in the area also. A fabulous property with lots of space.
Adrian
Hello. Can you please tell me what is the brand of the jacuzzi because I want to buy one similar. Thanks
Claire
Some initial issues with the booking but these were eventually resolved. Hot tub was cold the first day which was a disappointment as the kids were dying to get straight in. Bedding wasn't the best and there was no hand soap in 2 of the toilets. Also, one roll of loo roll in each. Just little things but it did tarnish an otherwise amazing stay and it would be so easy to elevate it. Property itself was amazing and the grounds were well kept. I would recommend this quite happily
The property was fantastic and even more spacious than the pictures. The kids loved being all on one level, the hot tub was regularly checked during our visit and the garden was perfect for the dogs. All the furnishings and the beds were great, the only thing we found fault with was the big red sofa. The cushions are clearly beyond their best and need refilling. It made the sofa almost impossible to sit on comfortably and would be an easy fix to make. Thankyou for an amazing stay and we would love to stay again in the future.
Deborah
The property is beautiful in a stunning peaceful location. The only issue we had was the fact that there was no welcome pack, everywhere we have stayed previously we are a group of work colleagues that go away each year a small welcome with tea, coffee etc has been included and this was not the case. In addition there were no cleaning products and only half a toilet roll in each bathroom. I appreciate that we needed to go to the shops for our stay but to not be able to grab a hot drink until everyone arrived was a bit disappointing. However that said the property is stunning with nothing to do but relax, pure bliss.
Stewart
An amazing cottage set in a beautiful location. Great hottub, lots of outdoor and indoor space. Overall 1010.
Claire
The stables are an amazing, beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The layout is unique and made sure I got my steps in daily going from the master bedroom to the kitchen
Rebecca
Had a fantastic stay at The Stables. A lovely place, so clean, modern etc. and everything you could possibly need. Very peaceful setting and we saw the resident owl most nights which was a bonus. Thank you for letting us stay and we hope to be back. xx
Had a lovely stay over the bank holiday weekend, location was great. Lovely and spacious and in the middle of nowhere. Would love to return.
We had a wonderful stay at The Stables. Beautiful property in a peaceful location. Has everything you need for a very comfortable stay and is very clean. Good location to explore different areas. Hot tub is brilliant, especially at dusk when you can watch the owls coming and going from the owl house in the garden. The kids loved the space outside, we will definitely visit again!
Beautiful cottage, exactly like the pictures. All very clean, however not much toilet roll provided for 8 people, so we did bring our own after reading other reviews. Hot tub is very exposed as it has no fences around and can be seen by passers by on road. Wasnt a problem for us as but something other may not like.
Robert
Fantastic stay and very spacious. The whole family loved it. The hot tub was a lovely addition which we all loved. We will be back again soon
Shailendra Kalpesh
We had unquestionably a very good and relaxed time at the Stables. Everything was as expected and more. The cottage was clean and beautifully decorated with ample seating for 8 people if needed and plenty of space for the dog to run around. The location was ideal for us as it was nice and quiet of an evening night but only 20 mins to Skegness centre.
Deborah
Beautiful place ,lovely holiday home comfortable and very clean. The owners obviously take good care of the up keep of there property .
Stephanie
House was lovely, really has the wow factor. Unfortunately there were a lot of flies in the house, so could definitely do with some fly strips. The garden is massive and great for playing games if having a day at the house. Could do with being fully enclosed to ensure children are safe. Would really benefit from a climbing frame or something given that there isnt anything within walking distance. Overall the house is great for families and would highly recommend and would definitely go back.
I cannot rate the stables highly enough. The setting is beautiful, its literally in the middle of nowhere but you can easily access a great pub The Bricklayers 2.5 miles away. And as long as you have a car theres loads of great places to visit within a 30 minute drive. The stables provides fantastic modern accommodation, its very spacious and 8 of us fit in no problem with plenty of room to spare. The garden is wonderful, its huge!! We spent many days playing ball games in the sunshine. The hot tub is great. We owl watched every night and saw the two owls coming and going. We met the owner when she came to service the hot tub and she was lovely. This stables is definitely the best cottage we have ever stayed at and we will definitely be returning. We 10000000 recommend
Robert
Fantastic cottage, very well maintained. H oh st very helpful
Kathryn
Note description 3 bathrooms there is only 2 and one cloakroom very ... Note description 3 bathrooms there is only 2 and one cloakroom very misleading Flies a big problem in property due to dirty kitchen bin Dishwasher not working properly ended up having to wash by hand Dirty under furniture and needed to keep something on feet as floor not clean No controls on hot tub so you couldn't control the temperature and it was far to hot almost scolding, CCTV on hot tub recording no signs to say you are being recorded and really feel one of the cameras should not be filming people in hot tub Would have liked some cushions for outside chairs as not comfortable Lovely location garden very good and tidy Spacious property comfortable beds It was watching and listening to owls that made the holiday
The property was amazing and well decorated. The garden was massive and the dog had loads of space to play. The hot tub was a really nice added extra with the addition of seeing the owl. Lots to do in the local area too. I would highly recommend and we are already planning on returning.
Heather
The property is very spacious with a huge garden and well maintained hot tub. It's a beautiful peaceful location. We enjoyed watching the resident owls. The owners were very helpful.
We had an absolutely fantastic time at The Stables which made for the most perfect and relaxing family week away. The place was exactly what we wanted quiet, spacious, very clean and clearly well looked after inside and out from the owners, who were very quick to respond to any questions and ensured the hot tub was maintained every day. We even got to watch the resident owl every night from the hot tub! Many thanks, highly recommended!
Great weekend away at The Stables, such a beautiful property! Very impressed. Would love to rebook and stay for longer when we can only negatives were the hoover wasn't great, no broom, only a dust pan and brush.
Really good holiday property. Would recommend highly.
Daniel
We all had an amazing time. The cottage has a lovely feel to it and we all felt so at home. We were two families so would have benefited from two rooms have single beds as our children prefer not to share. But thats a minor detail. Also a washing line would have been great as the weather was gorgeous. Thank you again The Browns and The Radburns
Cheryl
The Stables was lovely and warm! The facilities were great, plenty of kitchen space available to use and a good selection of plates, knives etc. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had lots of storage space. The accommodation was furnished and decorated to a high standard. The hot tub was checked on the Sunday, a couple of other checks during the week wouldve been nice so we knew that the water was still ok to use. The only thing that we didnt like was that on Thursday the window cleaner visited, I understand these jobs have to be done but surely a Friday would be better as its check out day. I wouldnt have been happy about this if I was in the hot tub as I wouldve been as invasion of my privacy. It maybe worth mentioning in the description that the gardens are not enclosed. We were fine keeping the dog on the lead, some others may not be so happy with it.
