A fabulous cottage, very special with everything provided that you could think of. Even a cot and highchair which we hadn't realised. We were 6 adults, 2 toddlers, a baby & dog and we had ample space. The viewing balcony was absolutely amazing! As was the new table, chairs and umbrella, especially in the hot spell as we had all our meals outside. Trains were loud especially the freight on some nights. Thanks to Yvette and her dad for sorting a water pressure problem so promptly, very much appreciated. A stunning property in a wonderful area.

Kylemore is a lovely place to stay, the railway next to the property is unique as its a manned crossing, we enjoyed watching the trains pass by. The area is beautiful and do peaceful being in the countryside. The house is very well equipped and very comfortable. Lovely surroundings. Stamford is a lovely area to visit and do some shopping. The local pubs Bertie arms the one we went up was lovely. Thank you for our stay.

The property was lovely and in a lovely par of the country. We had an enjoyable long weekend me and my brothers and sister and partners. The house was perfect for 3 couples and a single. The communication with the host, Yvette, was great. She kindly organised an essentials shop and that was there when we arrived. She also patiently navigated me to the cutlery drawer which I couldnt find in the modern kitchen. The cottage was next to a working railway line the clues in the cottages name which gave great interest although the goods trains that came past were a little loud and did disturb when they came through at night. We got used to that. Allinall, a great stay.

This is a great place to stay, only a few minutes drive outside Stamford. There is loads to do nearby Nene Valley Railway, Burghley House, Fotheringhay Castle remains, Rutland Water and Oakham. Special shout out to Mallard Point Winery and Distillery lovely owners and well worth a visit. Stamford itself is so beautiful and The Arts Centre has great shows cinema. Kylemore Cottage is very spacious and comfortable and excellently furnished. Our suggestions would be to take foil, cling film and grease proof paper if you intend to do a lot of cooking and also washing and dishwasher pods would be useful too as these are not provided, but the quality of cutlery and crockery is great. We would definitely recommend.

We were delighted with the house from the moment we opened the door. Light, tasteful and generously provided not just the Welcome items but plenty of kitchen equipment. And the joy of watching and hearing the trains and the signal person at work. Felt special to be bang on top of the last manned crossing in the country!

Everything was perfect, from the accommodation to the area it was in. Check in was easy and the owner was always a call away if we needed anything. The house is great for any occasion. I highly recommend to anyone staying here it was spot on.

Kylemore Railway Cottage was perfect. We were 6 adults and the cottage was spacious and very comfortable for all of us. The cottage was impeccably clean and everything was of a very high quality spec. The beds were so comfortable that I'm now going to change my mattress at home for the same used in the cottage. Set in a quiet, rural area, next to a working railway line. The passing trains were swift and unobtrusive. We spent Christmas 2023 there and the owner had decorated the living areas beautifully with fairy lights, a real Christmas tree and lots of other decorations. Having a log fire in the dining room made it all the more special. We will definitely recommend this property and will stay there again in the future. Yvette and George were very helpful and friendly. All in all, a wonderful family Christmas with 3 generations was had by all. Thank you.

Had a lovely few days' break with friends at Kylemore. We'd picked a week when it rained a lot, but we hunkered down with the trains the property had everything we needed. Between downpours we got out for a walk to Stamford and back to the delightful Bertie Arms in Uffington.

Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful house everything you could possibly need. Dog friendly. Would recommend The Bertie Arms pub and shopping day in Stamford. The trains going by were great. Any train loving children would love staying here!! Fish and chip delivery was so good too. Will definitely return. I always sleep with a fan on all night and we had really hot weather so wish I had taken my fan.
