Church Barn Reviews

Andrew
Really great cottage , stayed in coldest days of the year and it was toasty still . Everything was perfect would highly recommend staying here
Lovely, cosy cottage with a unique design and great attention to detail. We loved the woodburner and highly recommend the local pub The Green Man.
A beautiful barn in a quiet village. Immaculate decor and furnishings, a cosy log burner and efficient heating contributed to an enjoyable stay. The hosts were very accommodating and welcoming. Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms. The additional freezer was a useful addition and the starter log pile was generous. Would highly recommend Church Barn, its much cosier than the photos suggest. My only recommendation is to leave done cleaning products to use on check out.
Excellent property with everything we needed. Couldn't fault it. Good assistance from the owners when needed.
Dear Monica and David. We had a wunderfull time in your property. Clean and spacious. It gave us the opportunity to visit the neighbourhood with all the beautifull heritagesites we wanted to visit. We can recommend this proptery to others who wants to stay with You. When we come back to your County we deffently consider staying with You.
Church Barn is a lovely cottage in the centre of the village with footpaths all around. It was very well furnished and very comfortable.
Elaine
Lovely cottage in a lovely little village nice and peacefull. Everything you need is catered for. The cottage has a cozy homely feel it's lovely and warm if you need it to be and nice and cool when you want it to be. We met some of the villagers who were very nice and told us about the history of the village. The cottage is close to places of interest to visit. We did Belton house, issac Newtons home, Grimsthorope castle Rutland, Oakham, stamford, too many to mention
Lovely cottage and exactly as described. Friendly hosts and everything was as expected and hoped for. One of the nicer cottages we have stayed in and a relaxing place to stay. Would happily visit again

For anyone wanting a quiet retreat Church Barn is the ideal place to stay. Lovely location, clean and very comfortable everything you need for your stay
Church Barn was immaculate, high quality accommodation in a delightfully quiet village setting. We enjoyed the ambiance of the building, beautiful laid out with great attention to detail and finish. The log burner was a real treat on one chilly evening regrettably only once! and the rest of the amenities were top notch, from the amazing walkin shower to the comfy bed and storage. The porch cloak room which was also housing freezer was very convenient too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Amanda
Myself, partner and pooch very much enjoyed our stay in Church Barn. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. We always take our own throws for furniture but there were blankets provided if you don't remember your own. Lots of useful information provided regarding the accommodation, local area and places of interest. We took our own provisions as there's no local shop to walk to, cleaning stuff was provided along with kitchen roll. The only thing we couldn't seem to find were tea towels, but that's the only tiny fault I can come up with! It doesn't have a garden, but does have a table and chairs nestled at the front of the property and this proved to be a lovely area to catch the late evening sun with a glass of wine. It's set in a very quiet village with an excellent pub, booked a table in advance of our arrival on Sunday for a huge and delicious roast not open on Mondays and ideally located for day trips out. We stayed for two nights and felt that we could easily have stayed for longer. It's not often that we both agree that we would return to somewhere, but we have with this place, as we all were relaxed and chilled.
Church Barn was lovely and so were the owners. It was definitely a 5 star accommodation, comfortable and welcoming. Thank you.
Gordon
Lovely cottage in the middle of Ropsley and close to the village pub that is very welcoming and serves good food. Really good facilities and refurbished to a very high standard. We will happily return here again.
What an absolute little gem! Everything was beautiful and we had a very relaxing stay. Monica, the owner, went above and beyond to help us out and I would highly recommend this wonderful property
