Witham View, South Lincoln

Excellent accommodation all round. Perhaps too much technology but thats perhaps a generational thing. Microwave and oven need a good clean but that apart the whole property inside and out was wonderful and provided everything for the perfect stay. Excellent location for visiting around Lincoln although we were visiting our grandchildren in North Hykeham so equally well placed.

We stayed for a week with four adults and a dog and had a fantastic time. The property is outstanding with a great layout. Within walking distance you have shops and other amenities. We will definitely book again.

We spent a week here and Witham View certainly exceeded our expectations. Very clean and warm, and most things you need are provided. I always turn up a holiday cottages with everything I may need, just in case, but Witham View was one of the rare holiday homes where I didn't need it. Kitchen foil and tupperware dishes were the only things I needed to get out of my big bag. The Kitchen, lounge and garden lighting is controlled by Alexa controls and speech, so be prepared for that. There is a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a clothes maiden. The property has a huge selection of books and games as well as dvd's. The tv has a remote that you don't point at the tv ! but the instruction book is well written and has simple instructions for everything in the house. The views at the back are lovely overlooking the river, and there are all sorts of wildlife. Horses and ponies wading across the river then standing at the garden fence was a wonderful surprise. The seats in the living area are very comfy but can be a nightmare to get out of if your back is not so good. Our elderly friend ended up sitting on a dining room chair instead of the settee. Likewise our bed was too soft for me, but hubby loved it it is down to individual preferences. There are a good selection of shops a short drive away. Lincoln is easy to reach. We've been to Lincoln several times but it is always lovely to go back. Steep Hill gets steeper as you get older! We had a trio to the Bomber Command Centre thoroughly recommended and not far away. We also ventured out on a wet and windy day to Skegness and also Lincoln Zoo. The Zoo is a bit outside of Lincoln and we almost had the zoo to ourselves it's not too big, not too small, and glad we went overt there. Back to Witham View we thoroughly recommend you stay there. One of the better holiday cottages we have stayed in. If you are considering booking it, do it! Just not on the week we want to go back please! One last note, it is a pet friendly cottage. Witham View did not have any evidence of stray dog hairs etc etc, and was extremely clean throughout.

We were meeting up with friends for our annual get together to attend the Advent Carol Service at the cathedral, after the disastrous one 3 years ago which was abandoned when the fire alarm was activated by the incense! That aside, and given the very wet weather, the property more than made up for it. Beautifully warm, spotlessly clean and there was everything that we needed. In fact it was better than we expected. The neighbour provided us with a tea towel which was missing from the drawer and was most friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break at Witham View & would not hesitate to return again ifwhen we return to Lincoln.

The bungalow is lovely and in a good position for visiting Lincoln. The back garden is well kept and has a lovely view over fields. It was spotless and warm on our arrival with comfortable furnishings and well equipped kitchen. The only problem is the lights in the kitchenlounge are worked through Alexa. It would have been better to know before arrival as it was dark and we didn't see the manual.Thank goodness for the neighbours. All in all a lovely stay.

I booked Witham View as I was competing in a Flyball competition at Newark Showground with my two well behaved collies. The bungalow was excellent, everything you needed for a great stay. Easy to find, quiet location, great off road parking and plenty of night lights in the garden and driveway. Cosy and warm dogs loved the underfloor heating with a lovely bath to warm up after a day out with the dogs. Comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and plenty of room for the dogs pop up night crates. I found some lovely parks less than 10 mins away to walk the dogs, one with a friendly cafe for a nice coffee. I would definitely recommend the property and would love to come back next time I am competing at Newark

What a fabulous accommodation to meet our family and have a totally relaxing catch up. Spacious, comfortable and welcoming. Ideal location to Lincoln and its attractions. The view to the rear of the property is beautiful, with a selection of animals to look out for. Highly recommend this bungalow.

Lovely comfortable bungalow with great views out the back of the property. Easy drive into the very interesting city of Lincoln and out in to the countryside. Local shops nearby. Would highly recommend this accomodation.

We had a lovely stay, everything was as described and the pint of milk in the fridge was very welcome after a long drive. A cuppa was had before we needed to do a shop! As I grew up in Lincoln and have family there, I visit regularly. Will definitely book again if we come as a family including the dog.

We arrived Mon 1407 and stayed for a week. Things that could use some improvement windows of kitchen windowrollingwindow were realy dirtybig gliding door leftovers of previous guest still in freezer and fridge and cupboards freezer and fridge were not clean on arrival,was certainly not cleaned after or by previous guests doorseal of fridge door was loose at the bottom half of the door already in comment of previous guests, we fixed it back in position ashes and half burned logs still in fire scale outside from previous guests oven wasn't cleaned after or by previous guests the rest of the equipment was lovely, very luxuary bungalow. after some cleaning work we enjoyed our stay. very good beds, plenty of hot water in showers! Toppy! as piano player I enjoyed the presense of a well tuned piano we would love to come back but only if the cleaning team does its job for 100 before arrival of new guests.

Review This beautiful bungalow has everything you need for the perfect holiday. The stunning view from the garden made the morning cuppa a very enjoyable and peaceful experience. The bungalow itself has everything you need for that home away from home feel. There are shops within a 5minute walk with an excellent chippy!! and also a bus stop that takes you in to Lincoln which took about 10 minutes and saved the hassle of parking. great shops and views of the cathedral. We all enjoyed the beautiful walks across the river banks with the dogs spotting the wildlife as we walked. Would highly recommend Witham View if youre taking a trip to Lincoln.

Stayed here for our second time due to family reasons. Again, Witham View proved an excellent and comfortable base with everything we needed. Easy to communicate with the owner if you need to and a friendly local environment. For dog owners, the walking options available from the bungalow are fantastic, our springer gave it a 5 rating!

A beautiful home from home, ideal for those of us who don't 'do' stairs. Thoughtful touches like low level LED lights that come on when you enter the bathroom, so you don't disturb your partner. And convenient 'Alexa' controlled lights in the very spacious livingkitchendiner area, so you don't have to walk to the switch. And great local shops a short, level walk away. Highly recommend.

We have just returned home from a lovely 3 night break away after visiting family in the area. The bungalow is located in a quiet residential area, overlooking fields at the back. It was extremely comfortable, homely and spotlessly clean with lots of mod cons. We could not have asked for more and would not hesitate booking the property again on our next visit.

We enjoyed the holiday cottage so much and would love to rebook when we visit our family in Lincoln again. Our daughter is 4 and has cerebral palsy and the way the cottage was set up just suited us so well, the rooms were all good sized and the storage closet by the front door was so useful. We really enjoyed waking up and seeing the horses in the meadow behind and managed to host a few family dinners in the well planned kitchendiner. The neighbourhood was also very nice and friendly and we found shops around the corner very handy. Theres a great bakery there too. Highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay in Lincoln, the space is very accommodating.

Witham View is a really lovely cottage and we had a great week. Very comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean. A lot of thought has clearly gone into the design of the cottage. We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory and as the weather was good we also sat outside in the sunshine watching the ponies in the fields. Very good location just a short drive into Lincoln and we also walked along the river into the city. We visit Lincoln a couple of times a year and would love to return to Witham View.
