Lavender Cottage Reviews

Joanne
Gorgeous cottage with every imaginable amenity. Garden was perfect for our pooch too. Not only was Niki quick to respond and sort out an issue we had, she was also extremely hospitable and welcoming. All this and incredibly reasonably priced too. Will definitely stay again when back in the area.
Robert John
We were delighted with our week's holiday in Lavender Cottage which matched the property description clean, warm and beautifully equipped. Niki the owner was very helpful and welcoming and ensures everything is well maintained to a high standard. It is a great base from which to explore the local area and was a pleasure to return to after our day's visits.
The cottage was as advertised, with some nice little conveniences which were particularly welcome having travelled from afar. Rooms were cosy and comfortable, perfect for small family. We would stay again so definitely recommend.
Thanks Niki for a wonderful stay. Although we had an issue that was totally beyond your control, your response was both prompt and generous and were truly grateful Your home is beautiful and the location stunning and the Six Bells Pub, WOW! We would definitely recommend. Thanks again Niki x
Lovely property with great garden space for both kids and adults. Kitchen is well equipped although no potato masher as we found out having made Bangers & mash one night and great that dishwasher tablets etc provided. Can walk to 6 Bells pub, but in our opinion we enjoyed meals at Newtons Wine & Tapas in Bourne and The Horseshoe in Thurlby more.
We had a fantastic stay at Lavender cottage. A clean and well equipped property which is beautifully decorated and homely. Great place for enjoying long countryside walks, and plenty of places to visit nearby.
Tabitha
Gorgeous house with everything we could have needed. Great location for walks and the village pub and not far from many other things to do and see. House was comfortable and smelt amazing!
Caroline
Great cottage, exactly what we wanted. Well equipped and perfectly located for a visit to my parents in Thurlby. The 6 Bells also made our visit all the better as it is great to be in a very rural location and have an excellent pub and restaurant just over the road. We're very much looking forward to returning in July.
Robert
We really enjoyed our week at Lavender Cottage. The facilities were superb and everything was very clean, modern and a pleasure to use. The kitchen, especially, was very well designed and equipped so cooking meals was a pleasure. Nikki had left a lovely loaf of bread and a bottle of Prosecco, which was appreciated. There was also fresh coffee in the fridge and cupboard as well as spices and cooking oil. The garden was secure so no worry about letting our dog out. There were walks from the back of the cottage as well as through the village. Quite a lot of places to visit and Stamford is definitely worth going to. There were lots of books and also a useful OS map of the area as well as walks with your dog books which we used. A useful hose to wash down the dog was outside the house. There was also a nice modern waterfall shower. It was one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in and we would definitely consider re booking.
Montie
Absolutely amazing lovely place to stay
Beverley
Absolutely lovely cottage and the area is fabulous for dog walking and shopping to Stamford. The I closed garden was amazing for our dog to run and play. We did find a dog field too which was excellent only 10 minutes away. The host was lovely and so thoughtful. We loved the pub across the road for Sunday was amazing. Im sure we will be back soon.
Wonderful stay, cottage is perfect and fully equipped for every need. Will definitely be returning.
We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, immaculate cottage. A lovely welcome gift awaited us, prosecco, chocolates, a box of game, Christmas crackers and a card, which was greatly appreciated. The decor of the cottage reflected the festive season Christmas tree with lights, stars, mistletoe, small decorations, etc., Kitchen facilities were perfect and the log fire made the atmosphere extremely. The Internet connection however, was patchy which impacted working from home and watching programmes on the TV.
Very good cottage in a very interesting area.
Jonathan
I could not fault any part of our stay at Lavender Cottage. The Cottage itself was beautiful and clean with everything you could need for a break away. I was blown away by all the attention to detail to enhance your break away and make it special. Witham on the Hill is an hidden gem with amazing scenery, great walks on your doorstep perfect for dog walks, and is only a short drive to surrounding towns. Our host Niki was wonderful and so attentive to ensure every part of our break was perfect. I have already been recommending the cottage to friends and family and We will definitely be returning for another stay.
What a wonderful property renovation. Super big kitchen diner. All super clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our week exploring the local area and particularly the cycling around Rutland Water which was one of our main reasons for booking this property. Very helpful and friendly host. Loved it and would highly recommend.
Our hosts were very proactive in making us feel welcome and comfortable in the property. They were also very knowledgeable regarding the surrounding area, and were able to provide us with some great ideas for things to do and see during our stay.
