The Old Stables Reviews

Amanda
Lovely property with a good secure garden for the dog. Had everything I needed for a very relaxing break. It was my 2nd visit to The Old Stables and hopefully not my last. Many thanks
Adrian
In general the place was very comfortable especially the bed. the only problem we had was that we could not shower while we were there as my wife is slightly disabled and there is no support in the shower. A hand rail would have been helpful.
This place is excellent. The bed and bed linens are top rate good quality. The sofa is comfortable. We loved it so much we have booked again for 2 weeks. The situation is quiet. Parking ample. The New Inn down the road is highly recommended. A delightful holiday. Thankyou very much Sharon and Matt for meeting our requests and a beautiful stay.
The property is lovely with a comfortable reclining settee and little extras were very nice . I enjoyed a plumb loaf left for us. And every room is so clean. Thank you Matt and Sharon
Perfect. Had everything we needed. Cottage was lovely and a really nice secure garden for our dog. Instructions on how to use the appliances were really helpful and appreciated. Would definately stay here again.
Claire
What an absolute gem of a holiday let! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Everything was spotless, with lots of lovely touches, from the throws to put on the sofa to the thoughtful goodies that were left for us and the dog. An absolute bonus was the super soft dressing gowns. The recliner sofa and the bed were exceptionally comfortable. Every appliance was easy to work. The outside space was perfect for Pippa, our Cocker Spaniel, who loved running around while we relaxed, safe in the knowledge that she couldnt escape! She was also very excited to meet Matt & Sharon the owners when they popped in to say hi. The area itself is full of lovely things to do we particularly enjoyed a riverside walk at Spalding, Stamford, Heckington Windmill lovely cake in the cafe and Rutland Water. Would 100 stay again and will be recommending to our friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
This was one of the nicest places we have stayed in, for a long time. Clean, Roomy, facilities were first class, Pub within a 7 min walk, Plenty of places to visit in the area.

Michelle
Fabulous place to stay, extremely clean and comfortable for the two of us and our dog. Lots of places to visit as well as being a short stroll down to a lovely village.
Lovely cottage in an attractive village in a part of England we didnt know. Cottage has been beautifully modernised and equipped. Reclining sofa great for relaxing and dozing in bed very comfortable although some might possibly think it slightly soft bathroom excellent. Outside, secluded patio from which we spent a fair amount of time watching a red kite sailing above us. Friendly pub in village with good range of beer and reason range of food. Friendly and helpful hosts. A relaxing week and one we could easily decide to return in the future.
Christopher
The cottage was an ideal size for 2 people and well presented. The outside area was sheltered for sitting out with a good view over the fields. The location was quiet with good access for main roads for touring Lincoln. We would recommend it to others who are looking for a relaxing week break in Lincolnshire.

Loved the location great for walkers with public footpaths well signposted. Accomodation was first class, having a secure garden was great for Zak, he spent loads of time there soaking up the sun! Thank you for the welcome pack, it was much appreciated. A great base for exploring the surrounding area. We are already planning a return visit. Thanks again, we had a great relaxing break.
Probably the nicest cottage we've stayed in. Nice location on edge of the village, it's warm, comfortable and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Accommodation is ideal for a couple with a dog or dogs. There's easy access to surrounding countryside for walks, a handy convenience store and nearby pub with friendly locals, good beer and great food. A super place and would highly recommend.
Everything was as described and so just what we wanted Folkingham village is quite pretty and interesting
Avyona
What a lovely cottage in a lovely village. Spotlessly clean, comfy and with the best ever bed to sink into and sleep soundly, absolutely perfect! There were goodies left for us in welcome, which was a lovely touch. The owners left a file with information and advice for the surrounding area. The nearby pub in the village is superb and we had a couple of meals there. I adored the view in the evening of the church, as we relaxed after our busy days house hunting. We are unlikely to stay again as we will be moving to the area, but will certainly recommend to friends. 1010 for us, thank you.
Very comfortable, really clean and well looked after property. It has everything for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Its well located in a lovely village with a good pub. The owners are good at communicating, passing on details of village events and the little welcome goodies were a nice touch.

Everything in the cottage was perfect. Every facility was thoughtfully provided. The shower wasn't very good, but that would not stop us booking again
William
We stayed at this property over Christmas. The hosts decorated the cottage with a Christmas tree and some Christmas items to make us feel at home. They even left a present on the tree for our dog Skye. I can thoroughly recommend this cottage. it is well appointed and recently decorated ideal for a couple or a couple with a child and or a dog. It has a secure garden for both along with off road parking. Pub with food within 8 minute walk. Ideal for surrounding towns and cities. Very happy to return in the future.
This is a good cottage. Well but not over equipped with all you could need for a week's stay. Fully dog proof garden. Very dog friendly cottage. Internet worked well. Sofa was fine but someone with mild mobility problems might find getting up tricky. May need replacing soon. We would be very happy to stay there again
Elaine
