The Lodge, Grantham

The accommodation was perfect for a family get together of 15 people and 2 dogs. The family room and lounge were both well furnished, and how nice to have a large dining table we could all sit round. The kitchen was well equipped with crockery and glasses, but a couple of smaller saucepans would have been useful. And what a hit the table tennis was! The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were well appointed. A couple of points some of the corded pull along curtains were difficult to use, and the garden needs to be tidied up I know it was coming into winter and maybe the end of the season but it did look a bit sad.

We stayed here with 8 adults and 9 children aged between 6yrs 7 months, we had more than enough room to fit comfortably and for everyone to have their own space without feeling on top of each other, but also felt like we were just at home its obviously a much loved family home and the kids loved playing in the house and garden. The house is well stocked with everything you might need too.

We had a fantastic stay here 10 adults and 4 children. The property and garden worked perfectly for our multi age group. The hosts were so helpful and kind with any questions we had leading up to the stay. All the bedrooms were comfortable, everything was very clean and in good condition. We will definitely book again! Thank you!

We had a lovely family weekend with so much space for everyone, the children aged 1 7 had a great time in the garden on the trampoline and climbing frame. It felt very homely, hope to come again.

This was an amazing property we had 13 adults and one child as well as dogs and the size of the house was perfect. We all had our own space to do different activities and the house had everything we needed and more. There were plenty of games and activities to keep us entertained all weekend as well as the lovely big family areas and bedrooms. Thank you very much we will definitely look at book again in the future.

The lodge is perfect for large groups, we had lots of space to spread out, the bedrooms were comfortable and the garden was absolutely amazing, really good for a mixed age group. Decor is a bit dated and we felt attention to detail a bit lacking in some areas.

We had a great stay in this lovely property. Lots of bedrooms to fit our family gathering from all corners of the country and overseas. Big dinner table, lovely garden and hot tub with childrens play area. The kitchen was really well stocked with lots of plates, big pots and pans. They only provided 2 dishwasher tablets so make sure you bring extra. Large lounge and outside table with seating.

We loved our stay in Grantham. The property was beautiful and the facilities were some of the best we have come across in a holiday stay. It was good weather so it would have been nice to be able to use the pool whilst we were there but understand that this may be closed for good reason. Thank you for opening up your space and providing such incredible service.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lodge with lots of space for family of 15 and a beautiful garden to enjoy. Really peaceful and appreciated the extra single room made up downstairs. The hot tub was nice to come back to after days out and John quickly came round when it needed cleaning. Shame there was no bbq to use with the nice weather but we enjoyed plenty of good food with good kitchen facilities. The induction hobs had us stumped for a while but got there with the help of the internet! Would recommend.

Very enjoyable stay for all adults, kids, grandchildren and dogs. It was extremely comfortable, spacious and it provided everything that we were hoping for. All the grandchildren would love us to buy it and have us stay forever! The property and grounds gave us all the opportunity to be one huge family. Adults v grandchildren football match cricket matches in the massive garden were great fun and finding all the eggs on Easter Sunday could have gone in all day! And not to forget the hot tub too. We all had a brilliant time.

We are a three generation family group on our regular Easter get together. On arrival, we were met by both the owner and the manager who were very friendly and made us welcome with a useful introduction to the facilities of the property. The younger members of our group enjoyed playing football on the lawn, and bouncing on the large trampoline, while many of the older members enjoyed the hot tub. The house was well laid out and comfortable, and had all the items needed for an enjoyable stay although we didnt find an ice cream scoop!. We enjoyed the various National Trust properties nearby unfortunately the week seemed to finish too soon.

A brilliant property and a wonderful stay. We were met on arrival by the property manager and owner who showed us all the amenities, we were left with helpful guides and recommendations for local attractions. All rooms were spotless and there was room for everyone. The garden in this home is amazing with a hot tub and large open space. The large room was perfect for our celebration with fantastic hosting facilities including a water machine, plenty of cooking space and fridge freezer storage. The large drive meant there was plenty of room for multiple cars. Wine and biscuits left for us were a wonderful touch. No complaints at all about this fantastic property. I would 100 recommend. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay.

A lovely spacious property, ideally located near the town of Grantham but also near countryside. Although situated on quite a busy road, once inside you wouldn't know, The Lodge is secondary glazed. Great living spaces for all the family, with large dining room and well stocked kitchen., separate large utility and amazing garden. Excellent response time from owners, all in all would recommend and would happily return in the future. Thank you.

Lovely home. The Christmas trees were a very nice touch. It was good to have toilet rolls, dish washer tablets,shower gel ect provided. Thank you for the wine and biscuits. One thing I would suggest is some of the double beds were too small for my six foot four inches son in law. The large bed in the master bedroom was fine. The caretaker was very polite and helpful. We had a lovely time. Thank you.

We loved this property. We were 5 families, with 10 adults and 9 small humans. Everyone had a great time. The house allowed us all to be together whilst some were able to find peace and calm in adjacent rooms. The bedrooms were fantastic and spacious. High ceilings throughout gave that extra feeling of grandeur and comfort. The large lounge with dining table off of the kitchen worked perfectly. Adults were able to keep eyes on children while relaxing in different spaces. I would 100 recommend this home to any group of friends or families looking to get together. The garden and children's entertainment in the garden made a weekend at this house even better. We will be back.

The property was really lovely and well supplied for a large party as we were cooking most of our meals there. Despite being on a busy road, the double glazing meant that you couldnt hear a thing. We were also very close to some lovely countryside with fabulous pubs!

Absolutely gorgeous house and garden. The children loved all the outdoor facilities especially the trampoline and hot tub. We all had a fabulous holiday.

All my family came and stayed at the Lodge over a long weekend to celebrate my 80th Birthday. .We found the house has everything to make a stay very special, comfortable,and well appointed. The Hot Tub was a hit ,and the garden is great for lots of different sports..John was very helpful...

We had the perfect weekend at The Lodge 2123 June 24 The property slept our large party of 16 comfortably. The house is immaculate and the garden and surrounding green areas are spacious and well maintained. The house is also stocked with garden games croquet boules and has goal posts for a kickabout. The kitchen is modern and is set up to cater for big numbers. All bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing house. We stayed with our children, partners and grandchildren, 14 of us. Plenty of room in the house for everyone, and it doesn't carry noise upstairs either, so a bonus for early sleepers. There is everything in the house that you need, along with plenty of games and dvds if you need them. We spent a lot of time in the large garden. The kids loved the trampoline and play equipment along with all the space for ball games and more. The hot tub was a real treat. We loved it so much, im sure we will go back another year.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lodge for our family to share my Wife's 60th Birthday. The Lodge was perfect for the 12 Adults, 4 Children and 1 dog. The Lodge was very clean, and spacious, the beds were comfy, and plenty of bedrooms bathrooms over the 2 upper floors. The gardens were Hugh and well kept with a large swing slide area which kept the grandkids entertained. The hot tub was also well used by the family. The BBQ was clean and was also used. Everything was excellent and I would recommend the Lodge for anyone wanting to have a family occasion.

We have just had a most wonderful 4 night stay at The Lodge and it didn't disappoint in any way. It had a really homely feel, spotlessly clean and ample of space to accomodate our 3 generation family group. We loved the vaulted family room, the hot tub was a hit and the huge garden and play equipment was appreciated by our grandchildren as well as the football goals where many a match was played. The owners communication was appreciated and we were touched and thankful for the fizzy, biscuits and extra touches they left for us..Would love to visit again as a perfect home for our large family group to get together.

Wonderful place to stay. We had a family get together weekend in the Lodge, which was perfect for our needs. As a former family home it is well equipped and a great base for larger groups to get together with plenty to do both in the Lodge and gardens and around the area.

Lovely property. Spacious and comfortable. Equipped to very high standard. The information provided on the Sykes holiday cottage did not do it justice. Lovely gardens and external spaces useful for all ages.

This must be one of the best lodges I have been to. We were altogether 3 families who stayed in this beautiful lodge, which is conveniently located in the heart of Grantham, Lincolnshire. There were14 of us in total, half adults half kids, but the house could accommodate more people..that gives you a size of its magnitude! It is very child friendly with an outdoor play area comprising of a tree house with slideswings and a huge trampoline. It has a massive pitch which can be used for football with good nets on each end. The hot tub is to die for.. powerful jets under a canopy which stops leavesdebris from going inside the tub. Inside the lodge is very spacious, you can decide whether to sit in the huge living room at the back or the more traditional front room with its soft furnishings and family feelvibe. The dining table room had about 20 seats and it was lovely how everyone could sit down together to eat. The table tennis room was a big hit with the older kids who spent hours on end playing, ime grateful they werent in front of a screen ! The lodge also included games and we loved playing family fortunes some great questions

This is a terrific house to stay in. We booked the Lodge for a large family weekend and had a great time. We entertained the kids in the large garden, tree house, trampoline and hot tub. We were also expertly hosted by the owner. Highly recommended.

A most beautiful house and garden with everything we needed for a brilliant weekend from super kitchen and dining facilities making it easy to cater for the 12 of us. Beautiful spacious garden would highly recommend for a get together. A superb rental property, ideally suited for large groups. The garden was simply amazing as was the hot tub. I booked this house because it was a central location for all of us and it looked to have plenty of room for 12 of us and it did not disappoint! There were plenty of bathrooms, plenty of little areas where people could go and chill out if they wanted to, and the big room at the back with the vaulted ceiling was fabulous we spent most of our time in there. We loved the wellequipped kitchen trying out cooking on the aga was great fun we also enjoyed a takeaway that we had delivered on the Friday night. The garden was awesome. If you have got children and the weather is nice they will just LOVE it. As everyone else said, we also really enjoyed a dip in the hot tub what a treat. Loads of space, lovely house and a great location just off the A1 but not that you would know it, it was so peaceful. Also very reassuring to know that the house manager was just across the road should we have needed him which we didn't. There was plenty of parking for all of us, too. Highly recommended for a friends and family gathering.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. The house was clean and well equipped and easily accommodated our party of 14 8 adults and 6 children. The outside space was great and kept the children entertained for hours.

We all had a great weekend at the Lodge and appreciated the fizz and biscuits on arrival . The property was clean, well equipped and felt spacious and homely and easily accommodated 14 adults and 2 children . It was good having the family room and separate living room area to relax in . The garden was large and safe for the children to play in and the hot tub was an added bonus for the adults . The beds were very comfortable and Bathrooms were clean with hand wash and shower gel provided . We enjoyed the use of the table tennis table and played music through speaker system which was great . We had a great time and would highly recommend accommodation to others .
