Amazing cottage! ! Couldnt recommend enough!
We had a lovely 5 days in the warm and cosy Old Blacksmiths Cottage. It may be small but has everything one might need and very clean and comfortable. The owners are friendly and welcoming too, we will remember this cottage for next time we are in Lincolnshire!
Lovely comfortable cottage. Had everything you would require and a great welcome pack. Annette was very friendly and approachable.
This cottage was exactly what I wanted, well equipped warm and cosy. Annette and Steve were excellent hosts, I knew from everything I read and after our first conversation I would have a lovely holiday. Lots of helpful information in the cottage, things to do and useful information relating to the property too. I will be back. Thank you.

The property was just right for 2 persons. It was compact but once you settled in it was delightful. There was everything that you might need, the owner had really thought of things you might want. The owner was lovely, and very helpful. I would return to this property without hesitation. Lovely holday. Thanks
This is a lovely small cottage, very clean and it is amazing how it seems to contain everything you need for a relaxing stay. Spoke to Annette the owner on the phone to arrange for the key collection, very friendly and helpful. Delighted with the welcome pack of groceries, lovely to have a slice of local plum loaf with a cuppa upon arrival. Great location, lots of local walks and only a few miles from the local train station. Nice thatched pub in Tealby for a pint and a bite to eat not far away. Really enjoyed my stay here.
What a perfect little place to stay! !!! Weve just spent 3 nights here for the August Bank Holiday, traveled up from Kent to visit family in Market Rasen. It couldnt have been in a better location for us, as we were less than 10 minute drive to there. We arrived in the dark and did struggle a bit to find it, due to some roadworks being done, but Annette came out to find uswe were literally right in front of the place! Once inside, we were totally taken with the place. Despite its size, it had everything we needed and we felt very at home here. The place was spotlessly clean, with big fluffy towels and lovely fresh smelling bed linen! To top it all, wed been left a cute little hamper, with fresh bread and a Lincolnshire Plum Loaf very tasty, tea coffee & sugar and also butter and milk in the fridge. Thanks for making our stay so welcoming. We will be back in the new year, when we come to visit our family again.

We didn't want for anything provided by the helpful and friendly owners. The quaint and charming cottage was warm, comfortable and set in our favourite part of Lincolnshire... the wolds. Ideal for walks, visiting nearby market towns, pretty villages and other places of interest. Highly recommended.

Myself and my faithful furry friend have had a wonderful week at this lovely ... Myself and my faithful furry friend have had a wonderful week at this lovely clean comfortable cozy cottage, very friendly owners ,we have walked many many miles in this beautiful part of the UK , I will return for another time in the near future, the only slight problem with the cottage is the traffic noise from the A631 passing the property,a pair of earplugs would soon sort that problem if a lay in is wanted
The cottage is fine for two people as it has everything that is needed. It is small but quaint and has everything required for a short stay. Most appreciated the small wood burner that supplemented the heating in the cold weather.
Excellent property. Love the layout, nice cottage feel. Everything I needed for my stay. Comfy bed. Tesco supermarket nearby. Owner's on hand if needed. Also very helpful.
Jennifer
I am just back from my second visit to Old Blacksmiths Cottage and enjoyed the stay just as much as the first time. The owners have managed to fit everything you could possibly need into this lovely little space, and made it a wonderful place to stay.
Beautiful cosy cottage, with everything you need for a short break. Loved it, would recommend it !!!
Lovely little cottage which was just right for the two of us and dog for our week long break in Lincolnshire. The cottage was very well equipped, with seemingly all avenues catered for. Although quite small, the cottage was very cosy and easy to keep warm with gas heating and the little wood burning stove. The owners were very friendly and helpful. All in all an excellent base from which to explore the area.
A very pleasant and well appointed small cottage.

I stopped in Old Blacksmith's Cottage for a week with my dog and it was absolutely lovely. It had everything we needed for a memorable stay and I don't hesitate in recommending it.
Jennifer
What a wonderful cottage, excellent in every sense. We especially loved sitting out in the spacious garden and having our meals there, and learning more about the history of the building from the friendly and helpful owners. Wonderful for a summer visit, but it would also be lovely and cozy in cooler seasons. We definitely hope to be back!
We had a wonderful time at Annette's lovely cosy cottage . It had had everything we needed and was ideally positioned for day trips to Lincoln,Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe. Superb time
This cottage is amazing, small but beautifully conceived, it has everything you need. Lovely walks for your dog nearby . Great information for dog owners on walks and dog friendly pubs.
Lovely welcome, nice goodies n arrival after a long journey. . perfect
Really enjoyed my stay at blacksmiths cottage, very thoughtful use of space. Loved walking my dog, Charlie in the woods near by . For some road can be a bit busy, didnt bother me . Was lovely to just sit in the garden and chill off an evening after a day walking. Its a lovely area and would like to return. Comfy bed slept well. Thank you.
We had a warm welcome from the owners to a lovely cottage. The surrounding area was terrific with forest walks less than a mile away. The most rested and relaxed we've been in a long time.
Thomas
Lovely cottage. All very good. Nice welcome with fresh bread, fruit loaf, butter, milk. Tea and coffee. Annette welcomed us explaining about the key safe and other matters. Helpfully, agreeing we could park in front of the cottage but be very careful due to the sharp bend. I got my wife to stand across the road to check.
Outstanding
This is a delightfully small but cosy and appropriately equipped cottage suitable for a few days away. In addition to the central heating, there is a log burner, for which logs are supplied, which all makes for a comfy night in on a chilly evening. If you're a walker, there are plenty of suitable footpaths and lanes to wander and explore. The generally flat terrain makes the going easy. All in all a very pleasant and delightful few days away.
Stayed here twice. Both times have been amazing! Will definitely be booking a third visit
Had a good time. Steve was very nice and greeted us when we arrived.
Barbara
Enjoyed our time there, good cycling, lovely cottage
Delightful property with absolutely everything we needed. Its cozy size actually enhanced our stay! Location convenient for both city Lincoln and coast. Owners extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Although compact, this lovely cottage has provided us with everything we needed for our stay. The bed is very comfortable too which is a big tick.
Quaint cottage, got warm and cosy when the fire lit. Compact but it had everything we needed even managed to cook a Sunday roast! A lot of traffic noise as busy main road the other side of hedge at front of property. It would have been good to know about parking further away from property before we booked, but agree it would be dangerous to try and pull out on the corner behind the hedge. Nice place for a short stay, lovely welcome pack and hosts very friendly. Nice independent shops locally.
Lesley
Sweet little cottage. Ideal for 1 or 2 people and a dog. Very friendly helpful owners. Information book very clear and informative. Very convenient base for exploring the local area with lots of walks for the dog!
Christopher
We have stayed twice now. Lovely host, great cottage in great location. Every detail has been thought of. Lovely log burner with logs provided. Lots of treats left for you to enjoy. Im sure well be back again. We have stayed at many cottages with Sykes and this is one of our favourites! Thanks Annette
The Old Blacksmiths cottage was a delightful and well equipped retreat for us and our dog. Extremely clean on arrival and despite being a small space, it was very well designed and equipped. We even managed to make a full roast dinner! Annette and Steve were very welcoming hosts, providing us with a lovely food hamper including delicious Lincolnshire plum loaf. Unfortunately, the weather on our trip meant that we couldn't spend time in the beautiful garden specifically for the cottage. But we were very cosy, inside. Highly recommended!
The cottage was very charming, welcoming, comfy, clean, very well equipped. Everyone was friendly and helpful when we asked about places to visit and walks within the area. Would definitely recommend this little gem.
