Granary Cottage Reviews

Joanne
Thank you John and Marion, we had a wonderful stay in the Granary. It was warm and cosy and the provisions for a cooked breakfast and more were very much appreciated.
Granary Cottage Humby, Lincolnshire We stayed a week in October and received a warm welcome from the owners who lived nearby. There was an extremely generous welcome pack waiting for us on arrival this was a real treat and much appreciated and enjoyed. The owners were very friendly, attentive and unobtrusive. The cottage was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, warm, decorated to a high standard, very well equipped and contained local information on things to do and places to visit. The village location was perfect for us to visit local attractions, NT properties & gardens and pretty towns & villages, with their distinctive old white stoned buildings and cottages. The rural setting provided privacy and was peaceful with the sounds of wildlife wonderful. Our stay was all the more memorable for the owners welcome, the cosy cottage and the seasonally good weather with the rich vibrant autumnal colours of the hedges and woodland trees. We enjoyed visiting and driving around this part of England with wonderful views over fields and countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Granary Cottage and would recommend this holiday cottage.
Michael
Lovely property in a very quiet Lincolnshire village. Nice dog walks. Very welcoming owners with a marvellous selection of breakfast goods, particularly the homemade loaf. Everything needed for a lovely weekend whilst visiting family

Marion and John were ideal hosts. We enjoyed their company but they were never intrusive. The cottage was full of character and we found it to be very well equipped including a lovely welcome pack. The garden was peaceful and relaxing to sit in after a day's outing.

Thank you for a warm welcome. The owners were there to greet us. They were very welcoming and informative, but not intrusive. Cottage was perfect and the location was central to many attractions. As well as the magnificent welcome pack, Marion and John made our furball extremely welcome in the cottage. A 5 stay. Large garden and field, perfect for Demi. Good to meet Stanley and Percy, 1 resident cat and friend. Also a pleasure to meet Finn?, the grandson. A very polite and friendly young man. Would certainly book again when we visit the area.
Jessica
Wonderful stay, thank you so much for opening up your beautiful cottage. The little extra touches were very welcome thank you for the delicious breakfast you left for me. The bed was super comfortable and soft, and the cottage had just about everything you need to feel at home. Perfect stay for my visit to all the nearby castles and stately homes in the area. A great location and only 2030 minutes travel to each place I wanted to visit. Once again, thank you!

We had a lovely stay with decent weather. Excellent location, cottage quiet and comfortable. The welcome pack and accessories were beyond belief and the best we have ever had. The hamper upon arrival meant no immediate trip to buy food. The cottage was lovely and clean. It was our first stay in Granary and I'm certain we'll return.
Stephen
A very idillic cottage,in a very nice position, owners very friendly and helpful. Some very nice villages in the area to visit as well as Grantham reasonably close by.Found some super walks not too far from the cottage,so was good for dog walking. My only negative would be the plumbing in the cottage, not the most powerful, and probably could do with a pump installed.Would definitely recommend though.
An excellent place to stay in a quiet area. Everything you need is in this amazing little cottage. A welcome pack is left by the owners that is beyond anything we've had before. We will definitely come stay again when we need a weekend away to just relax .
Christine
A fantastic cottage, lovely, cosy and quiet. The owners are very friendly, welcoming and not at all obtrusive considering they live nearby. The cottage was lovely and warm for October and the welcome pack was amazing! Greatly appreciated. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Less than half an hour stroll to a great pub. A great little break in a gem of a cottage and highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at 'The Granary Cottage'. John and Marion are super lovely people and made us both feel very welcome. Granary cottage is situated in a small hamlet in the grounds of the host's farmhouse. In front of the cottage is a lovely garden area with a table and chairs for you to enjoy the peaceful and quiet location of this property . Indoors we were wowed by the welcome pack of bacon, eggs, mushrooms and sausages, homemade bread and jam plus a bottle of wine. What a lovely surprise that was ! Granary cottage is a warm, well insulated place and provided for a very comfortable stay. We loved the ambience of the place and enjoyed looking through the varied collection of books on the shelves. We will definitely return soon.
The hosts of Granery cottage John and Marion were lovely people. Who have spent a lot of time and effort making a perfect Holiday retreat for piece and quiet in the most beautiful surroundings. The photos Don't show the character to its full extent. Many thanks John and Lorraine
Heather
A delightful cottage in a pretty village. It is easy to get to the pretty market towns in the area for a look around. The owners were very welcoming and provided an outstanding Welcome Pack to provide breakfasts for the whole week, The cottage was warm and cosy and you could take what wood you needed from the log store. Just a note about the tv. It says Smart but is not yet connected to the wifi. this didn't bother us however. It also has a dvd so you could take your own discs to watch.
Amanda
We had a lovely stay in Granary Cottage, the owners were lovely and super helpful. The welcome pack was above and beyond, including homemade produce! My 9 year old son was thrilled with his ship captain's bedroom! A great cottage with everything you could want!
Warm comfortable and well equipped accommodation in a lovely setting. The owners couldn't have been any more welcoming and helpful.
Delightful cottage, complete with everything you can think of. The owners are very helpful and accommodating and provided the most complete welcome pack we have ever had over many years of renting holiday properties The internet connection is not very consistent though
Granary Cottage is a little gem. The owner provided a welcome pack which was excellent, enough for a Full English for us both, a loaf of homemade bread a jar of homemade jam and two pints of milk. The cottage is exactly as the photos. Very clean and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you need. Living area and bedroom are very comfortable and cosy. Highly recommended if you want a quiet break, and very central if you want to explore the area.
Lindsey
