Orby Cottage Reviews

House is very comfortable and lovely and clean. Outside area at the rear is enclosed but quite limited and needs some maintenance. Just consists of gravel and slabs. Location is fine, maybe 10 minutes walk to the village centre. Road is a bus route and can be quite busy. There is no free WiFi at the property but you can get EE at a cost but is not strong and if you want to watch streaming TV services it can drop out a fair bit. Overall, it is a good base to explore the area from. Gunby Hall NT and quiet beaches are close by.
Nice bungalow, good layout. Not brick built. Very light, windows on all 4 sides but no real view from any. Front windowsdoors are partially stained glass with a narrow porch at the front too, so not very visual. You can sit at the front but St Leonards Drive is quite busy. 10 minute walk to the village and sea. Good location for touring Lincolnshire coast and Wolds.
We had a lovely week with our dogs. Good clean accommodation. The welcome basket was lovely even biscuits for the dogs. Just a few niggles. The kettle was a bit temperamental, nearly boiling then shutting down before restarting. The fridge wasn't set to cold enough, so we had to throw away some milk. The Xpelair wasn't consistent sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. The water pressure in the kitchen was very low when running the hot water.
Beautiful bungalow that was spotless. Had literally everything you could ever need whilst away. 1015 minute walk to Chapel point and village. Very secure garden for the dog and a lovely little treat basket with wine on arrival. Only thing i would say is the wifi is not great but it was nice to have no calls and messages coming through all day! Nice quiet area on a bus route. Would highly recommend to friends and family. See you next year

We really enjoyed our long weekend in this clean and comfortable cottage. It was a pleasant 15minute stroll to the beach or plenty of parking near Seascape, which is fantastic for breakfast. Quiet area, lovely beaches, and nice compact town with good chip shops. Thank you for the lovely welcome gifts! We hope to stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Orby cottage
As soon as we walked into the property it felt homely and each day we returned back to it, there was a nice feeling walking back through the door. The bungalow was impeccably clean throughout. It has been very nicely renovated, I love that the original stained glass doors have been kept. The heating and appliances were easy to use, the bed was comfy and the shower was lovely and warm. The property doesn't have wifi and I do think this should be highlighted in the description as we I'm sure like others are self employed and needed to do a little work while on holiday. The hot water takes quite a long time to come through in the kitchen so keep this in mind start running the tap a few mins before you want to do the washing up. You also need to take you own hand soap as none is provided.

From the minute I walked through the door I was really impressed with the property. It has been newly renovated and really captures the style of the bungalow. The sofas and bed were lovely and comfortable, a must when you are out walking most of the day! There were lovely Christmas decorations which was a nice surprise and an excellent welcome hamper, complete with doggy treats which went down very well. A real bonus was the nighttime, step outside and the sky is so dark and full of stars. The location is great for walks from the door but also a short drive away there is plenty to do. The National Trust Sandilands Wetlands and Nature Reserve is certainly worth a visit.I would definitely love to return again.
