We had an excellent holiday. All the adult family members were very impressed with the house and all its space and facilities. The proximity to the town and beach was exactly as described in the pre booking information. The few maintenance issues that arose were dealt with immediately and efficiently. We would highly recommend this house to anyone considering booking it.

We travelled as four separate families meeting up for a family break. This home was perfect for building connections. The games room with the pool table and fuseball created so many memories for the cousins to connect as did the vast array of board gameswhich we would have liked to play morewe just didnt have the time. We enjoyed time at the beach nearby and in the evenings watched the World Cup. The living areas were spacious and the dining table perfect to host us all at the same time. The kitchen had all the facilities needed for extended family from ages newborn all the way up to an elderly person. The bedrooms and bathrooms were as described. It was so nice to stay with siblings under the same roof after such a long time and this property allowed us to do that without feeling like anyones privacy was invaded or without feeling cramped or overwhelmed as there were so many spaces to retreat if need be. The hot tub was a winner although we didnt use it as much as we would have liked. The parking was spacious and its a very quiet residential area, so great for families.

Initially hired for 10 adults, 2 dogs and 4 children, our party sadly through unfortunate circumstances, became 6 adults, 2 dogs and 4 children. All bedrooms are excellent size and apart from the ground floor bedroom have ensuite shower rooms. The holiday was for a series of birthdays, 57, 48 and 50, so the location, size of house and the facilities were excellent for our stay. A great sized kitchen with excellent appliances, stacks of glasses, mugs, plates, etc made sure the dishwasher was always full and on. A couple of minor points, that I pointed out to the owners during our stay via email, the downstairs bathroom towel radiator was on, the bathroom door in the rear large bedroom doesn't shut properly and a bigger outdoor clothes line was needed for large groups staying. Location is 5 minute walk to town shops, 10 minutes to the beach, highly recommend No 9 restaurant, the local bakeries and the Marine Boathouse pub for breakfast. Excellent car parking facilities and spaces with the bonus electric car charging point considering 2 out of 3 cars were fully electric. Perfect house, perfect location, excellent owners. Chalfont Lodge was absolutely perfect for our needs its close to town centre perfect for strolling out for a meal or drinks, the accommodation it's self was spotless has an amazing kitchen with everything anyone could ever need, geat little games room and just perfect living room to watch a little TV.

We booked Chalfont Lodge for a friends birthday. The lodge didn't dissapoint. I asked before our stay if we could use the parking spaces before our actual check in time as we had a meal booked to which the owners were really accommodating and allowed us to do so. When we got into the property, i didn't know too much what to expect but what we walked into was a light, clean space and it didnt feel crouded at all even with 12 of us staying there. The only slight issue was that the 3 showers in the en suites on the top floor were not functional due to a plumbing issue reported by the previous guests. I did recieve a call from the owner beforehand though which was helpful and informative. That is the only reason why i have not marked the property a 1010 across the board. We had a great time during our stay and we couldn't believe how quiet it was! I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Skegness as it is such a short walk from all ammeneties and the property itself was lovely. Overall a great stay. Thankyou.

This was a great house for all our family to celebrate a birthday and retirement in one. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had ample equipment to cook for all the family. All the rooms worked well for the family. The adults loved the games room as well as the older grandkids and would recommend getting a dart board to complete it. Having the hot tub was great to chill in even though its the middle of winter. The distance from the centre of town was perfect not to far for little legs to walk. Thank you we had a great time.

Just stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. Family and friends for a 60th birthday. House was amazing, lots of room, did not feel cramped at all with so many people. Games room enjoyed, hot tub too. Location is ideal for central Skegness. Owners communication great. Cant fault anything and we would definitely go back.

This is a fabulous house that easily accommodates a large group. The fact every bedroom has it's own ensuite bathroom is such a bonus. The house was spotless, ample parking and it was so easy to walk into Skegness centre. We loved it and would love to go back.

The property was as described in the listing in terms of location, number of rooms etc. But, although the fixtures and fittings were generally fairly modern and in a good state, the building feels a little 'dated'. The back yard area is rather small for a building that can accommodate so many, although the hottub was a bonus. Again, for a property of this size, the kitchen was too small with limited worktop are but we are people who like to cook and eat in. I guess most just eat out or get Deliveroo...

We had a great stay at Chalfont Lodge, four generations making precious memories. The house had very good facilities and was located close to the beach and shops and many activities were walkable. Skegness is a good family resort with lots to do for all ages. Good comms from the owners too.

Had a great week at Chalfont Lodge. The property is huge, with loads of space and parking! for our extended family. Location is brilliant, only a few minutes from the front and shops. The owners were extremely helpful, friendly and responsive. Kids loved the games room and the hottub was a lovely bonus. Recommended!

Absolutely fabulous. Booked here for a surprise 70th birthday as it catered for young children and dogs. A fantastic time was had by all and would definitely recommend for large parties. Plenty of room and never felt like we were on top of each other. Everything within the resort was within walking distance. Had a a great time.

Excellent accommodation for large family group. Seems a lot bigger on the inside than it does on the outside it's like a TARDIS! Large, well equipped kitchen, even larger dining room. Lounge and gamesvideo room for those rainy afternoons. Plenty of car parking we brought 5 cars, but there was room for more and dog friendly. Brilliant, plainly written house manuallocal guide so you can't go wrong with the facilities or finding something to do locally. Quiet setting, literally a couple of minutes from the seafront and local shops. With it's emphasis on good communal spaces, Chalfont Lodge helped us have a brilliant, family weekend in Skegness.

Lovely large property for us all with all we needed for our stay. Close to attractions and shops so once parked up, could walk everywhere. The games room was a hit with the kids, along with a hot tub for the adults! Comfy and spacious and loved the idea of naming the bedrooms. The kids could remember which was theirs! It was a lovely holiday home, fully equipped and very spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the facilities were great, with plenty to do for the kids. Its a fab location, only a 10 minute walk to the sea front and town centre. Over all we have a brilliant time away, we will definitely return again and highly recommend if you have a large family.

Fourteen of us stayed for a weekend in this property and we had a fabulous time. It was clean, comfortable and offered everything possible, to make a stay perfect. We ate in and had enough kitchen utensils, not to have to pack anything extra and enough room to cook large meals. Its so nice to be able to eat together at one long table and the owners have thought of all the little extras, down to the last detail. There was even a cupboard full of family board games provided. There are hairdryers in every room and heat mats for straighteners etc and the plugs have been thoughtfully positioned. We had seven cars, including a large Land Rover Discovery and we all got parked outside. The house is a short walk to the beach and we were shocked at how nice the seafront was. The owners reached out to us to check that everything was ok and they were lovely. Would we stay here again? Yes, without a doubt.

Fabulous owners who allowed us to check in early as the property was ready on arrival, the communication was superb from prearrival, during our stay and leaving. We were greeted with a bottle of fizz and a lovely welcome and happy new year card. We all absolutely loved the property it had ample space for the group of 16 10 month old to 50 year old and it had something for everyone, the games room and hot tub are a brilliant asset for the older teenagers of the group and warmed up the old bones after days out. The living space enables all of the party to be able to enjoy time together and time to relax. We didnt take any dogs but the garden was enclosed and would still have had plenty of room. No pet smell and no sign of pets being at the property so cleaning standards were great. The only issue we encountered was a blocked drain which was sorted immediately after a quick message to the owner. The jolliest plumber I have ever met arrived onsite and repaired and cleaned quickly he was such lovely guy and nothing was too much trouble amazing service. The location of the property is perfect to explore Skegness on foot no driving for the week onsite parking lots of good places to eat, drink and visit over the festive season which was unexpected, therefore we spent money and time supporting local businesses which isnt usually an option out of season. Great owners and a lovely property, we loved Skegness and are looking to return in the summer.

Unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The heating in approximately five of the bedrooms was not working, leaving those rooms uncomfortably cold throughout our stay. This made it particularly difficult to relax and enjoy the house in colder weather. Additionally, I was surprised to find that soap wasnt provided in the toilets. For the price and setup of the property, I would have expected basic toiletries to be supplied. The cleanliness also left something to be desiredwhile the main areas were acceptable, several spots felt overlooked and below the standard youd expect from a rental property. Another issue was the lack of clear instructions for the fire alarm system and the access code. This caused unnecessary confusion during the stay and could be problematic in an emergency. It would be helpful if the owners ensured these details are clearly provided for future guests. Overall, while the house has potential, these issues made the stay less comfortable and convenient than wed hoped. With better preparation and attention to these points, it could be a much better experience for others.

Perfect holiday home for all weather's, having a games room and hot tub to entertain all ages! The house has more than enough space for extra large families or extended families, none of the rooms were small, and the communal rooms ie the kitchen, dining room and living rooms we're really well equipped. The hosts were extremely accommodating, and communication was very good. We really enjoyed our stay.

We wanted to enjoy a holiday with our fairly large family and this was an ideal property with all rooms clean tidy and accommodating. The living space was excellent with plenty of room for eating and relaxing and the kitchen equipped with everything needed for home cooking. The only thing I would suggest is that there are 2 key safe locks and if like I did go to the wrong one you feel as you cant get in so would suggest stating where it is along with the code

Had a fantastic family break celebrating some birthdays. The house was exactly as described and very clean and tidy. There were 15 of us and the well equipped kitchen made it easy to cater for everyone at once oven space especially appreciated! All of us being able to get round the large dining table made for easy meal times. Hot tub was fantastic and much larger than expected. Bedrooms were all good sized and comfortable. Plenty of downstairs space and comfortable seating. The kids loved having the fun zone to play in and have some time away from the adults. The location was perfect too such a short walk to the main town and to the beach made it perfect for a mixed family group to each please themselves. Communication from the home owner was great too never had the visitors information book provided in advance before but it was very useful and much appreciated.

A great vacation house in a fantastic location, perfect for our family holiday. It's in a very quiet location, yet everything you could need the beach, bars and restaurants and arcades are a 5 minute stroll away.

The house is lovely, in a great location for easy access to everything Skegness has to offer. The downstairs layout is superb. Both lounges can accommodate us all, which is great. The games room is an added bonus. The only suggestion would be to replace some of the bathroom cubicles with shower screens rather than shower curtains, but a very small criticism, especially when all the upstairs bedrooms are ensuite. Overall, we had a brilliant family holiday.

We all loved staying at Chalfont Lodge, the house is very big, clean and comfy. It's within walking distance to all the amenities and the parking is a real bonus. The hot tub, garden and conservatory were well used by all of our party. The beds were all comfy, and everyone having their own bathroom was important to us. We had a great week and would definitely return your team do a great job in cleaning such a large property.

We had a lovely weekend with friends and family and the accommodation met everyones needs from 7 months to 60! Beds were very comfortable, showers were great and location was so central with supermarkets and beach a short walk away.

Great place to stay for a large family. So many bedrooms with en suites makes it much easier for everyone. The property has so many good features and has all the equipment you need. Also such a great locations for seeing everything. We would highly recommend it, and hopefully we'll be back in the near future.

What a great find! Lovely comfortable house with brilliant facilities. The kitchen was really well equipped and there was plenty of space for us all to be seated around a really big table in the dining room. The lounges also had plenty of seating space and the added touches of a hot tub, pool table and snug where you could hook up a gaming console would make this a fab place for family gatherings. The lovely owner was quick to respond when we had a slight problem with a shower. Would happily stay here again.

Everything was as described and the owners were extremely helpful. We 14 adults, one toddler, one dog had an amazing stay at Chalfont Lodge. Spacious and well equipped, it suited us very well.The downstairs bedroom was great for my 86 year old parents. We made good use of the hot tub and pool table and even had a kitchen disco in the fun room! We did a lot of cooking and apart from struggling with the oven should have read the manual there was almost everything we required. Remember to take kitchen roll and tea towels. Justine was very quick to reply to emails and when I called the emergency number as we accidentally set off the fire alarm, the lady answered straight away and was very helpful. Five star service. The only areas which could be improved on are the outside space needs a good sweep up and the cigarette bin emptied, some of the bedroom doors don't close very well, some beds didn't have mattress covers and the pillows were a bit of a poor standard. Chalfont Lodge is by far the best property we have rented as a family and we have been up to Scarborough and down to Sheringham and a couple of places in between! Well done to the owners for getting it up to this standard.

The holiday property was an excellent size and standard plus being well situated for easy access for beach walks, exploring the townseafront aswell as walking distance to some excellent restaurantspubs. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and everything needed was available. Our 12 family members of all ages enjoyed having their own space as well as having spacious areas to be togethermy favourite being the huge dinning room where we all gathered for family meals and chats. Thanks Chalfont Lodge for being our home from home!
