Woldsend Cottage Reviews

A lovely clean cottage. Immersion heater for hot water and if run the water slow it works perfectly. Coalwoodburner fire for your heating, but there an electric heater also. We was very warm, in December. Lovely comfortable beds. Has a full oven and everything we needed in the kitchen. parking is across the road and the outside sitting area is on the front but is enclosed. Road traffic we found ok and is 40 mph. Steps in kitchen could be changed to 1 fat step instead of 2 little steps perhaps!? Step ladder stairs we found ok, just go steady and use hand rail. If want bigger and all mod cons.pay more!! The price you pay for this cottage is good value. We enjoyed our stay.

A lovely stay at a small, cosy, and quirky cottage. Nice cosy evenings in front of the wood burner, plenty of wood available. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was available. There is some noise from the road outside, but you soon get used to this. There is a double and a single bed in the loft style bedroom. The room has sloping sides due to the loft area. The only thing I feel could improve the stay would be to remove the single bed. This would give more room in the bedroom to move around and not be a squeeze on one side of the bed
Had a really enjoyable stay and hosts were great. Thanks!
A wonderful cosy little cottage, perfect little hideaway. The owners have thought of everything and go the extra mile with thoughtful extra touches.
Very fast, noisy, heavy traffic within 3 yards of the door. Day and night! Stair dangerously steep, very low beams. We are not tall and both hit our heads repeatedly. Toiletshower rather primitive. I don't think this cottage fits the romantic bill!
Had a great stay here in this cosy cottage. Great host, very well equipped & comfortable. Will hopefully visit again.

Lovely cottage stayed for four days, great base for exploring Lincolnshire. Friendly locals very rural but the village is only 3 miles away, lovely beaches within 30 minutes drive and lots of public footpaths nearby. Beautiful views of Lincolnshire wolds. Wonderful hosts providing everything and more.I will definitely return to this lovely place

The cottage was lovely, and the log fire had been lit, it was warm and welcoming. Being 'dinky' it was easy to keep tidy, the kitchen had all the facilities, and more compared to some other holiday lets we have used. The shower was so easy to use, and it was not an 'overhead' shower, I really cannot get on with those. The beds were comfortable and ample storage for clothing etc. We really recommend it.
Absolutely Beautiful. The cottage was clean, and well maintained. Nice of the owners to leave us some tea, coffee and biscuits. Would recommend. Lovely area, with stunning views from the garden. As mentioned in the description, the stairs are steep but we had no issues although our dog wouldn't go up them
Justine
A beautiful cottage with the fantastic log fire it was great being able to take our dog, and found its spotless and very clean and very kind that they left us milk, tea, coffee and also a bottle of wine and mince pies as we spent Christmas week there, the weather wasn't brilliant but there was lots of wood and coal to keep the fire going, would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We enjoyed our stay immensely! We found the cottage cozy and comfortable. Nice, outoftown location but within short driving distance to grocery and restaurants. We loved the fenced in area in front of the cottage so we didn't have to worry about our pup running out into the busy street. We had everything we needed and you even thought of little extras to make our stay easier like the milk and biscuits! The woodburning stove was so soothing and everything was just great. Thank you so much Sandra and Andy!
Cosy cottage lovely and warm, discrete owners, we loved staying here Neil and Maria.
It's not how you described, it's what you did not ! On the pictures it was so decieving,as it showed a shingle driveway, which we thought was somewhere to walk our little dog ,also having to park opposite the house, in a dirt layby on a main road 60 miles an hour, was not practical as I and my partner have mobility issues!very dangerous ,we assumed when you said it had a gas hob it would have an oven ! Never have booked if it was mentioned, also microwave was not the same as pictures, so tiny! You also said road noise but did not mention the fast road right outside, also it is not dog friendly, unless you had a enclosed garden, or patio, we have not been out for 3 years,I have only been out of hospital for 3 weeks due to pneumonia! and it was going to be a quiet time away, but this cottage broke my heart on my birthday!!! We only stayed for less than 30 minutes, and spent all of our money, very much upset and disappointed, in the future describe as it is and do not deceive anyone else, would now call on you to do the right thing and refund us at least some of the cost, will never go with Sykes again ,worst experience ever,it's not what you said it is about what you did not say! about the place! Very upset, jayne

We stayed here for a short winter's break the cottage is quaint for two good location for towns nearby facilities reasonable note narrow stairs must be relatively fit and no upstairs toilet all in all a good break excellent value for cost
