Lincoln House Reviews

Elizabeth
8 of us stayed in the property over the weekend & it was ideal for our needs. The instructions to enter were clear & the accommodation had everything we needed. We were able to park right outside for loading & unloading & for the rest of the weekend we parked just a few yards along the street. The house was warm & clean, plenty of crockery etc & having 3 showers really helped. The short flat walk along to Bailgate was perfect, we had some fantastic meals in St Paul's Drink & Dine on St Paul's Lane. We could see when we booked that the stairs were steep but they have a handrail & were no issue for the couple of 80ish year olds in our group. Would definitely stay again, thank you!
Great location spent a lovely weekend with friends visiting the castle illuminations . Good instructions how to access property. We would normally only book properties with ensuite facilities, this property has 3 bathrooms for 4 bedrooms which was find and worked well . Lovely to have a Christmas tree to welcome us
Our second time to use Lincoln house, the hosts welcome gift made us feel very welcome thanks so much.

Great location only a ten minute walk to the cathedral and castle and no hill! and nice property. We were there at Christmas so it was too cold to use the generous outdoor space, but found the property better, if anything, than we were expecting might be worth including a floor plan in the property details to explain the layout?. Very grateful for the efforts to prepare the house for our arrival and the little gifts waiting for us. Thank you.
Nicolae
Great property, cozy, clean, cute, we felt amazing. Thank you!

We came back to stay for a second time and again it did not disappoint. Thank you for having us!

Our group five retired males really enjoyed our stay at Lincoln House. The accommodation was very good and suited our needs perfectly. It's proximity to the CastleCathedralTop of Steep Hill was great. We found great Pubs and some great places to eat within a short distance. My friends and I will hopefully be back at Lincoln House to further explore the City sometime next year.
Excellent property, ideally located, plenty of room for all of us, 7 adults, 2 children & the dog. Extremely clean and furnished with all the needs for a short stay away from home. Gem of a find and would definitely recommend and will be using again.

Although parking was restricted directly outside the property parking was never a problem. The property was comfortable and there was room for us all 4 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs. So overall it was a really good place to stay and a good base for Lincoln city. Just a couple of minor niggles, the hinge on the stairgate needs mending. The cold tap in the downstairs bathroom needs fixing. Could do with a few more pots and pans for the amount of people that can stay. Aside from this we would be more than happy to stay here again.
Nicola
Lovely place to stay. A real hidden gem. Everything you could need in a kitchen for cooking a family meal. Lovely sizes bedrooms and with 3 bathrooms so easy for all the guests to share. Although above a shop we had no problems parking and neighbours were friendly. The owners made us feel very welcome.
Facilities inside the cottage were generally very good. The furthest back bedroom lacked a bedside cabinet which was quite irksome as there was nowhere for me to put my glasses and phone at night. Even a small shelf would be useful here. Heating was good although I had to manually turn down the temperature before going to bed as it seemed otherwise to run all night with the associated noise from the expanding and contracting pipesfloorboards. The large fridge in the kitchen was excellent as was the milk and loaf a nice touch and appreciated. The tumble dryer filter had apparently not been cleaned for a long time, and was completely filled with fluff, to the point of being a potential fire hazard. I cleaned it but we eventually did not use the washing facilities after all! But having both a washing machine and dryer available was excellent. We figured out how to use the TVSky Box in the downstairs lounge which was fine for the amount we used it. Parking is a huge issue but probably not much you can do about it. If we wanted to return to the cottage during the day for more than 30 minutes we were stuck, as finding a parking space anywhere near the cottage was all but impossible. And we had to leave by 0830am if parked outside or just hope the traffic warden hadn't been down that street yet. Twice I got a parking space over the road luxury! Would we return? The lack of parking would be a deterrent, but the cottage was very good.
Booked last minute. But wasnt disappointed flat was nicely furnished and all amenities were provided. Terry was so helpful.
