Sunnyside Cottage Reviews

Lovely, very clean and spacious cottage in a pretty village with a large garden. Well equipped, with a generous and thoughtful welcome hamper to greet us. Comfortable sofas and large shower and modern bathroom facilities. Only real downside for us was the main bed mattress was too soft for our preference and the main bed frame was very creaky and a little short my husband at 5 11 tall had to sleep bent legged against the footboard. If it wasnt for the bed, we would very happily return. Good location to explore the beautiful Lincoln, which was only a 40 minutes drive away.
We had a lovely time in this very comfortable and roomy cottage. The garden was spacious and secure for our dog. It was a good location to explore National Trust properties and fish and chips in Skegness.Jody was very welcoming. We hope to stay again next year.

Lovely comfy cottage. Lots of room, great facilities, wonderful kitchen, beautiful enclosed garden. I grew up in the countryside of Hampshire, and it was wonderful to hear owls hooting again. Great base for exploring Lincolnshire. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you for a lovely, if wet at times, two weeks holiday. GREAT BREAK.
Our visit to Sunnyside cottage was a delight. Upon arrival the cottage was extremely clean and welcoming. There was a hamper on the kitchen table with a fresh loaf of bread, butter, cheese and a bottle of milk. A really warm and welcoming gesture from the friendly host. That's something never experienced before at other holiday homes! The beds were extremely comfortable, bathroom with spacious walk in shower and the large eatin kitchen had all the amenities anyone could think of. The two sitting rooms were also lovely and there was good wifi connection. We thoroughly enjoyed the garden too with its nice lawn and spacious sitting area. A haven of peace and quiet! We would highly recommend a stay at Sunnyside cottage. Thanks again so much to the lovely host Jody.
Andrew
We had a great stay in this homely cottage. The enclosed garden was ideal for our two dogs to run around without any chance of escape! Lovely quiet village with plenty of places to be able to visit in Lincolnshire. We went to Bourne Woods a couple of times. The owner Jody was very accommodating and friendly and we appreciated the Welcome Hamper.
EXCELLENT ALL ROUND
Great cottage, spacious, wellequipped and super clean. Friendly and helpful owner. Lovely village. Totally 1010 from me!
A beautiful stay with a perfect host. Directions to the property were clear and a welcome hamper was lovely to receive. The property is very costly and with a large garden and kitchen, there was enough space for us all to relax and unwind. Local shops are a drive away so come prepared but this was the perfect stay otherwise.
Richard

We loved the cottage decorated for Christmas . It was homely and comfortable. The kitchen was an excellent size for Christmas lunch for our family. A small snug was great as a games room too. Lots of room for cars in the drive. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and much appreciated. Would highly recommend a stay here at any time of the year. Lovely village and so near to other places to visit. The Owner was very accommodating and on hand next door if we needed anything.
Claire
Jody the host was very friendly and welcoming. A lovely welcome me hamper was gratefully received. Sunnyside cottage was extremely spacious and had everything we needed. The only downside was both double beds very creaky with every tiny movement. On the whole beautiful cottage in a very pleasant rural location. Thank you x
Lovely property with everything we needed for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Lovely safe enclosed garden for our dogs too. Some nice touches like throws for the sofa if the dogs wanted to come up. Thank you.
Shelley
Sunny side cottage was a lovely place to stay a real home from home. Judy left us a beautiful welcome basket, which was delicious. We loved the peaceful surroundings and the cottage was perfect. The fully enclosed, dog friendly garden was fabulous for our two crazy labradors, and the outside seating and BBQ were great. Would love to go back soon if Judy hasn't sold up!
Stephen

A lovely cottage with great facilities and a spacious enclosed garden for your dog. We enjoyed day trips to Lincoln, Boston, Heckington Windmill and Good Finds. A little further afield is Skegness. Belton House and Garden Centre worth a visit in Grantham.
We arrived slightly early but it wasn't a problem as the weather was hot so we sat in the garden. We were made to feel welcome my the owner and she left a nice basket of goodies. The house and garden had plenty of space plus well equipped, driveway was slightly narrow and no turning place but no real problem. Although we only stayed three nights we were lucky enough to see the Aurora and take some amazing photos while sitting in the garden. Thank You.
Richard
Generally good, clean and tidy. The kitchen could do with more equipment but since the landlady is retiring on health grounds and the property is up for sale it isn't worth making any suggestions.
We have just had a fabulous break. We spent 3 nights at Sunnyside Cottage and it was just lovely. The house and garden were spotless, comfortable and fully equipped with everything that possibly need. We have a dog reactive rescue dog. dog walking and holidays are very tricky to manage but it was easy at Sunnyside cottage. There is a large secure garden, throws for the furniture and it's in a lovely quiet area which made walking him much easier than normal. We loved the house and did not want to leave.
Kathleen
Jodie made us welcome and resolved any issues promptly. A lovely property with a secure garden for the dogs.Nice to have a freezer and fridge to store food washer and dishwasher. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Lovely Cosy Cottage ,safe garden for our dog. Great kitchen very well equipped, just what we need for a relaxing week away. Good local area for dog walking. Excellent place to stay.
A lovely cottage located not far from a main route but in a quiet area. Plenty of room for dogs, children and adults, with a gorgeous kitchen and large garden. Warm, cozy and spacious at the same time. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to relax, enjoy time and space away from everything but conversely with lots to see and do in the local area.
Catherine
Perfect place to stay with children and a dog. Good size enclosed garden and plenty of room inside so that you can always find a quiet spot to relax in. We had a lovely week long stay. It was cosy and warm, great for Autumnal evenings. There is everything youd need available and lots of nice touches including board games and books for all ages in the snug. The wifi was excellent and there is Netflix and Sky tv if you want a night in.
Quality of property was delightful and owners thought of everything from a lovely food hamper on arrival to the things one may i have forgotten in the bathroom cupboard so a big well done to Jody the owner from us.
A short but sweet stay at Sunnyside Cottage. Very comfortable, spacious and well appointed accommodation that was enjoyed by our grownup family. This would only be improved with the addition of EV charging facilities. That said, the owner kindly provided this at their own property following my enquiry about EV charging.
A lovely cosy cottage, loved the big sized kitchen, a nice big garden for pets and children, could not fault this cottage! I would definitely book again and recommend this cottage to anyone
Andrew
A fantastic cottage and will recommend it to everyone. The huge farmhouse style kitchen was great for family meals and the cosey living room was ideal. Large back garden that was very secure for dog's and a baby. Location was ideal for exploring Lincolnshire. Jody the owner was so helpful, even providing her own little blanket for the cot. An absolute joy and we will 100 be returning to this property Thank You
Kathleen
This is a lovely cottage, spacious, clean and has everything you need. The owners live nearby and were incredibly helpful, welcoming and very approachable and quick to answer queries about the accommodation and local area. It was a lovely holiday and I would recommend it.
Jennifer
A wonderful, relaxing stay in a lovely cottage. Our dogs 2 Labradors loved the garden. Kitchen very well equipped and cottage very comfortable. Jody, the very friendly owner, lives next door so available if you need anything. Recommend a walk at Twyford Woods old RAF air field for lots of open space for dogs to run around. And a lovely day at Huttoft Beach, much quieter and completely dog friendly!
Beautiful cottage in a wonderful location. Jody was fantastic and really helpful. We had a lovely week away and would highly recommend!
Andrea
Lovely little home from home. Everything we needed for our short stay due to husband and son taking part in Europes Toughest Mudder at nearby Belvoir castle. Even had a paddling pool for our two year old twins. We had exceptionally good weather, very hot so we are very glad we took our own fans to use in bedrooms at night, as it was very warm. The cottage was well equipped and was in a quiet little village with a great park for the kids. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise.
Suzanne
This is one of the best cottages weve stayed in. Great location, quiet and very, very well furnished and appointed. The owner has really thought of everything. There was a substantial welcome basket waiting for us with wine, bread, butter and cheese. There was also plenty of storage both for clothing and foodstuffs. We loved the huge American style fridgefreezer. The heating too was excellent. Its also close to a rail link and the wonderful Heckington Windmill. Cant recommend this cottage highly enough. Well definitely be back. Thanks Jody and family.
Comfortable cottage exactly as description we had a really enjoyable stay with our dogs real home from home

The property was spotless on arrival & the welcome pack was very nice. Loved the spacious kitchen & our dog loved the garden. If you want peace & quiet then this is the perfect place. The owners where always helpful when needed & left you alone to enjoy your stay. Cant complain about anything really except maybe some bigger bath towels. Thanks for the lovely stay.
Charlotte
We had a fantastic stay at Sunnyside Cottage. The house was lovely and it made a good base for exploring the local area.
A very well appointed and maintained rental cottage, and Sleaford just 10 minutes away was a very pleasant market town and had all the facilities we needed.
Darren
A magnificent cottage set in a pretty village. Inside was extremely clean throughout. A lovely welcome basket as we arrived. Excellent garden which was fully enclosed, plenty of running space for our dog. The locals we met were friendly. A park near by was perfect place for the children to play near to the local church. We would definitely go back.
