Swan Cottage is a beautifully refurbished three-bedroom cottage in Bardney, a village near Lincoln in Lincolnshire. Exposed beams and a wood burner-effect electric fire give the interior real character. The fully refurbished kitchen-diner features a coffee-making station built from an upcycled Singer sewing machine bench a genuinely cool touch.

Bardney sits in the Lincolnshire countryside with Bardney Abbey and Tupholme Abbey both close to the village. The Water Rail Way cycle path runs nearby great for a full day out on two wheels. A welcoming pub and shops are within easy walking distance.

The cottage sleeps up to five guests across three bedrooms. Bedroom one is a double with plenty of storage. Bedroom two is a single with characterful sloping ceilings. Bedroom three has a single bed plus a trundle bed for an extra guest. There is one family bathroom with a bath and shower over.

Lincoln is 11 miles away (20 minutes), home to Lincoln Cathedral a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of only four surviving Magna Carta copies. Tattershall Castle (National Trust) is 14 miles away. Woodhall Spa is 10 miles away with its Edwardian character and RAF heritage.

Swan Cottage suits small families or groups of friends who want a well-equipped base in central Lincolnshire. One dog is welcome. Secure gated garden and private parking make it practical too.
