Wagtail Cottage Reviews

Great site easy to use thank you A
Mitchell
We loved our stay at wagtail cottage. The cottage itself was immaculate and really cosy being by the sea i wasn't sure how warm it would be at the end of December but it wasn't an issue at all. The small enclosed rear garden was ideal for cleaning the dog off after a walk on the beach which is just a stones throw away. Can't fault anything about wagtail cottage and will be booking again in the future.
This was our first break in 10 years and it did not disappoint. The cottage was clean, beautiful flowers welcomed us to a bright and charming cottage, the enclosed garden allowed our dog to walk around without our constant supervision. The beach was a short walk across a quiet road onto and a National Trust wild life area which is open to everyone. A lot of thought and care has been put into wagtail cottage. This is a hidden gem and I would rate it outstanding.
Lovely little property with sun catching outdoor area. Sea and huge stretches of sandy beach only 3 minute walk. Easy walk to Sutton on Sea along promenade or beach. Great for dogs. A leaflet about how to use coffee machine, WiFi and heating etc and where to go out to eat would be helpful. But would recommend for a quiet, restful holiday with stunning beaches and lovely walks. The North Sea Observatory is a must see place with excellent food.

The owners are very friendly , nothing to much trouble, guiding us to local places to visit. The cottage was well equipped with everything you needed, as stated in previous comments a freezer compartment in the fridge would be useful. The private patio was a bonus. The cottage is

Cottage is in a good location the beach is just over the road but no facilities yet. A cafe is being built nearby. Coop 1.5 miles away, Breakfast 40 min walk from beach turn right, Town is another 40 min walk turn left. Room is a decent size for 2 people. Good WiFi and a SMART TV with Netflix but we did miss a freezer compartment in the fridge. Weather was hot and desperate for an ice cream
Rosemary

Fantastic place to stay clean and welcoming. We enjoyed the area so much we actually bought a caravan!!!
A shower mat and a grab handle in the shower would be of great assistance to less mobile visitors. Also cereal bowls would be appreciated. Overall we had a excellent stay with our dog and would return again.
Wagtail Cottage was beautiful it was comfortable and cosy with tasteful decor, with everything you would need for a stay. The surroundings were tranquil and so close to the beach great for recharging your batteries and the owners were welcoming and friendly. Their dog Cody was a delight and very sociable too. We are already planning on another break in the coming months with our dog again and we would thoroughly recommend this accommodation!!
A wonderful stay in such a lovely part of the East Coast, perfect for walks along the sea front, plenty of lovely cafes around and lots of entertainment nearby if needed. The cottage was beautiful, lovely and clean. Furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The owners were great, so friendly including Coda the dog. We would always come back here whenever we visit this part of the country. We had a peek in the cottage next door too, Sanderling which is just as nice.
We had lovely stay, nice cosy little cottagecabin. So nice to have the enclosed private courtyard area, so the dog was safe. Very close to lovely sea and countryside walks. Sutton on Sea is positioned perfectly between Mablethorpe and Skegness.

Fabulous! What a find! This is a real treasure, a beautiful modern cottage very well equipped. We spent a week here including Christmas. We were warm and comfortable and the hosts were available if we had needed anything. A beautiful Christmas wreath was on the front door and some very tasteful Christmas Christmas decorations inside. When opening the front door it was like stepping inside a page of 'House Beautiful' . The situation of the cottage is idyllic, beautiful views with stupendous sunrise and sunsets. A short walk across the old golf course now in the process of being turned into a nature reserve by the National Trust leads to the promenade and of course the sea!! Wonderful! We cannot recommend this property too highly, just brilliant. Anne Christine and Tony

We spent a lovely 5 nights at Wagtail cottage which we just as described. It was quiet, clean, comfortable with friendly and helpful hosts. Small touches such as the fresh flowers made us feel very welcome. There are some lovely walks nearby and the beach was very accessible. A lovely stay thank you.
Teresa
The property was perfect, warm and cosy! Lovely dog walks straight out of the door. My husband enjoyed the sea fishing only a few minutes walk away. Really enjoyed our stay.
Cecilia
Wagtail Cottage is a very comfortable, extremely well equipped holiday cottage. It is literally yards from the beach surrounded by open countryside. What more could you want. The owners are very hospitable and helpful.
A beautiful cottage in a perfect location, near enough to town for some great cafes and bars The Fat Seagull is nearest and best but far enough away for peace and quiet and only 150 meters from the beautiful deserted beach. Some lovely walks up and down the coast path, a must is south to The Boatshed for a late breakfast after a swim in the sea. The hosts were brilliant and made our stay but it was mostly the Coda the dog! Would love to return one day.
