Sanderlings Cottage Reviews

Nicholas
The property needs a fridge or a new fridge freezer. It also needs an air fryer, and a dishwasher.
Joanne
Lovely cabin, very comfortable for a couple, plus our Cockerpoo. Good use of space and everything we needed was provided. We enjoyed some beautiful walks along the promenade and through the National Trust parks. The sea is only 2 mins away and it was lovely hearing the waves breaking from the patio. The owners were friendly and welcoming but the clever positioning of the windows meant you didnt see anyone unless you wanted too!. Had a thoroughly relaxing stay.
This is our second visit to this superb property and again we were not disappointed. An excellent, peaceful, relaxing and well maintained property with outstanding views across the countryside. The property is located close to the beach with plenty of walks nearby. A highly recommended property for those who wish to take a quiet break.
This was my second visit this year to Sanderlings. I love the location for coastal walks .
Amanda
Second time that weve visited really love the property and location

I cannot fault this accommodation it was perfect it's all fitted to a very high standard with quality products so comfortable, quiet and relaxing exactly what I was looking for and it it literally a stones through from the beach which is dog friendly all year round I took two big throws for the bed and the sofa as I have a golden retriever who is half human and thinks it's his right to be on the furniture and so I didn't want any damage but he felt really comfy and cool on the lovely stone flooring and on the patio which is fully enclosed no freezer but a big fridge definitely recommend this lovely little find
Great property in a fantastic location. The property was exactly as depicted and is one of the best proterties we have stayed in. The views of the nature reserve are great and we spotted numerous birds of interest. The lovely beach is just across the road. The property is well thought out and decorated and dressed to a high standard. Also at last we have found an owner who can sensibly stock the kitchen with the right items and just enough of them instead of what others do which seems to be empty sveral kitchens into one leaving no space for food. Would love to return again.
Maureen
Not enough crockery in the kitchen area, espevially if you wanted to cook a meal, no extra bowls, everything wa in 2's We should have been told beforehand the road in front of the cottage was being tarmaced, we left a day early in case we were blocked in by the machinery A very bad smell from the toilet was there when we arrived which filled the cottage, I suppose it was from drains or cesspit waiting to be emptied, which went eventually In all the cottage was comfortable. But no.instructions on how to use the electric hob, but we did have a lovely time and a nice break
Amazingly perfect little getaway spot for a proper relaxation break. The perfectly positioned cute little chalet was exactly what we needed for our week away. We had just adopted a dachshund and we needed an enclosed garden and safe space, it was exactly as described in the listing. We were attracted to the property by the closeness to the beach. We could hear the sea from the bed! The chalet itself was a perfect size for two with a small dog, the kitchen area was perfectly equipped with everything we needed for self catering, the only thing missing was a small freezer but we coped with warm gin! The sofa was comfortable and we brought our own throw for the dog, the bed was very comfortable if a little snug for two and a sausage dog haha! Again we took our own bedding down to the dog bed sharing. The shower was very much a wow, lovely decor and lots of storage in the under sink vanity. Shame there wasnt more clothes storage but we left some items in the case. The WiFi was a tad temperamental to stream a film but was more than adequate for phone usage. We walked absolutely miles along both ends of the coastal path and even landed in Mablethorpe for an icecream! We will definitely be back. Im giving this 1210!!
Gillian
Lovely comfortable, cosy cottage. Everything we needed, in compact, clever, neat accommodation. Beautiful views, and 2 minute walk to the dog friendly beach. Ideal location on the edge of the town, but close enough for shops and takeaways. We loved it!
As ever a lovely place to stay with both near beach access and with plenty of dog walking. Good facilities in accommodation and friendly hosts. Now our third stay and we will be going back.
Fantastic get away everything you would need is provided and the place was ... Fantastic get away everything you would need is provided and the place was spotless, a big to Mark and Christine for allowing us to stay for 3 nights definitely will be returning

We would definitely recommend the cottage and we hope to return next year .The enclosed patio ideal for our dog Heidi . .
Delightful accommodation close to both beach and fields with warm and welcoming hosts. Excellent for dog walkers and for those who are interested bird spotting. Nice cafe nearby in village.
The property was perfect for a weeks stay, as a couple with our dog. The owners were very accommodating and friendly and the cottage was perfect. Very comfortable and homely. WiFi was excellent in an area with limited phone signal. Very enjoyable stay.
The cottages has everything you can need for a self catering holiday. Fully equipped kitchen comfy sofa and bed. Perfect for dogs as the beach is literally across the road. Great restaurant nearby called the fat seagull .We have had two brilliant holidays here.
Kenneth
Excellent accommodation close to the sea and beach.
Great holiday, parking out side the door, every thing we needed was there, close to the beach, shops in easy reach as well as restaurants. Home from home, cannot wait to go back
Very friendly hosts. Quiet location. Lovely pictures painted by Catherine in the property making it a unique experience. Ideal for birdwatchers because of the Nature Reserve immediately behind the property. Thank you for a very enjoyable holiday.
Lovely cottage, plus being so near to the beach was a plus for our dog, seeing a stoat walking round the patio are was delightful. Pat Anderson Thank you
Enjoyed the place and its quiet surroundings, with the beach a short walk away.
A beautiful and very clean cosy cottage. The cottage is well equipped and positioned so that you are very private. The patio area is quite a sun trap. The setting on the edge of the nature reserve was great. Very quiet. Then the added bonus of the sea and sandy beach just the other side of the dunes. Wifi worked really well. Thank you for a lovely weeks stay.
Frances
This little cottage has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The hosts were welcoming and friendly without being intrusive at all. The proximity to the beach is fantastic and the views from the windows and garden are stunning. If you are into sky watching or birdwatching you will love it. We saw some beautiful sunrises and sunsets and a lightning storm and even saw an owl fly past the kitchen window and a kestrel on the tree outside. The WiFi is dicey but there is 4G signal and it didnt bother us.
The sanderlings cottage is stunning in beautiful surroundings , so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay so much we will definitely be returning next year .
Hilary
The property was amazing, just perfect. Only wished we could have stayed longer. Ideal for our dog too. Thoughtful extra hospitality eg dog treats, milk and a lovely cheese! Will definitely be going back there.
The property was exceptionally clean, compact, well presented and newly rennovated. Its away from any social amenities pubsrestaurants but close to the beach for walking and very quiet. However, there was no WiFi as listed which was a major disappointment and I would not have booked this property had I have known this. The owner was awaiting a booster but this didnt help me as I went for a long weekend to catch up with emailsfriends and download and watch a few films on the listed Smart TV but clearly couldnt do any of these things without WiFi. There was no freezer, also listed, but owner did place things in their own freezer for me. I spoke with owners regarding the following and they were happy for me to list these for them. I feel sure they will address these issues and put them right in due course, but sadly these impacted on the overall enjoyment of my long weekend outside furniture was soaking wet which I managed to dry overnight as it had been left out in the elements no hooks in bathroom to hang wet towels no coffee table so used outdoor plastic table instead no frying pan, scissors, kitchen roll, cling film, foil, serving spoon, slotted spoon, slotted spatula generally lacking in utensils no cupboard space to store groceries no guest information giving details re heating, recycling, checkout, takeaways, restaurants, pubs etc. poor bedside lighting so used a torch in order to read at night Once rectified, Im sure this will be an ideal property for a couple of nights away.
