Great Leap Reviews

Great Leap is an awesome lodge and the whole family enjoyed our stay. It is central for a number of days out but also great for relaxing in and around. The property is well equipped, comfortable and spacious. If this is the kind of break you are looking for we can wholeheartedly recommend Great Leap.
The cabin is in a quiet area. The exterior and interior are very welcoming. There was a lovely welcome basket in the kitchen. There were nice Christmas decorations throughout, including a tree. There is a folder with information. The heaters worked well and the log fire was very cosy. The jacuzzi bath is a nice touch. The beds are comfortable. Overall, I would recommend the cabin to others. A lovely getaway any time of year. Thank you!
We have stayed at a few lodges at this park, and 'Great Leap' is certainly at the top, it has everything you could think of, beautiful setting, very clean and comforting accommodation, very spacious.
Lovely lodge stayed here several times before,in a nice location and easy for sightseeing in the local area.
Kenneth
Super large lodge, beautiful surroundings and position, very quiet with nice dog walks through the woods within a few yards. Very clean and well stocked with large comfy beds. Ken. Christine
Absolutely beautiful we will be booking again very soon.

As a family of four we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Great Leap lodge for the past month. The lodge is very spacious, comfortable and amazingly well equipped. The location in the woods is fabulous, a large terrace, lovely seating area and gets lots of sunshine. Whilst surrounded by trees there is plenty of open space as well. Louth is a lovely market town surrounded by the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds as well as being close to east coast seaside towns and lots of other activities. We would thoroughly highly recommend this holiday lodge and would not hesitate to stay there again.
Darren
The lodge was beautiful as were the surroundings. As country folk ourselves we loved the pictures of the animals which decorate the walls throughout! It has everything we needed for a very enjoyable, restful stay.
Couldn't find how to watch normal TV channels. . followed instructions in the guide but just couldn't get the channels, we just watched things on catch up later. Everything else about our stay was great ... Fantastic lodge.. very well equipped, clean, comfortable. Excellent position in the park. Would love to stay again for longer but would need a freezer for our dogs food. We did see a table top freezer stored in a cupboard which wasn't in use,,, can this be used on a longer stay ? .
Stephen
Lovely quiet location. Spacious and comfortable. Great location for visiting the coast and Horncastle and Lincoln with lovely drives across the Lincolnshire Wolds. Very good starter pack of logs for the wood burner but had to travel to get logs as none to buy on site. Overall very pleasant stay.
A lovely large lodge in the woods surrounded by wildlife and great dog walks. We enjoyed sitting on the veranda in the morning sunshine, when it was sunny!, having coffee and breakfast. Log burner in the evenings made the cottage very cosy. Good location for the coast and also for inland attractions including a brilliant day in Lincoln plus a visit to RAF Collingwood and the excellent Battle of Britain Museum.

We had a lovely time at Great Leap. This enormous cabin is so well equipped and appointed. Wonderful to be somewhere so peaceful with skies so clear it seemed every star was visible
We thoroughly enjoyed our week. As three elderly friends we found the cabin comfortable and restful. We had a problem with the WiFi but was soon rectified by a short phone call. Also we were unable to connect the t.v. To the free box. No problem as what is a week without t.v. Hopefully we will be able to book again next year. Thank you Chris, Carol and John
The Chalet was really beautiful. Quiet area. Everything was well explained in the folder that the owners had made for us, they also all had folders of eateries, easy to find something. We would definitely recommend this place to others.
We loved our stay, it was so peaceful and the accommodation was perfect. I would highly recommend the great leap.
Lovely property in a nice location, stayed previously and never disappoints home from home.
A large, clean, comfortable lodge in a lovely quiet position close to woodlands. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay & had comfy beds & plenty of hot water. The jacuzzi bath was very enjoyable too. Nice walks around the area & we saw lots of wildlife just outside the lodge muntjac deer, a fox, rabbits, a woodpecker, a barn owl & heard tawny owls late in the evening & of course lots of squirrels!. It is situated within easy reach of the coastal resorts Skegness , Mablethorpe etc & also places like Lincoln & Grimsby. We would be happy to make a return visit to Great Leap.
We had a lovely holiday at Great Leap. The cabin was very warm, clean and homely. Everything is provided for a great stay. The location is perfect with lovely views from all the windows. We loved going into Louth a 5 minute drive away which has lots of lovely little shops, pubs. cafes and places to eat. Our only slight issue was the front door, very stiff and seems to stick at the bottom!! This did not in any way spoil our perfect holiday. Thanks for providing a fantastic holiday home. I think that the decking is being attended to this winter. May I suggest a hand rail is added to the stairs for elderly guests my parents struggled a little bit. Excellent cabin nonetheless, amazing TADIS in the woods.
Gloria
Lovely comfortable well equipped lodge. Would love to stay again
Nicola
Wonderful stay, the lodge is like a Tardis and the pictures do not do it justice! Would certainly stay again if in the area.
Third time at the lodge, and it never disappoints will definitely return again.
An absolutely lovely property in a quite and peaceful location. We have now visited this property twice and enjoyed both weeks at the property. The only downside, is that it receives a poor mobile network signal at least across two networks so contact with the outside world is unpredictable should you need to contact family or friends. The included wifi network is also poor, as it also uses a recognised mobile provider, so this form of communication is also unpredicatable. Apart from that, a recommended property.

The lodge was amazing the best one on there thanks for letting us stay there my wife thoughrully enjoyed it many thanks to the owners for the fruit and plum loaf all being well we hope to be back next year once again many thanks much appreciated Kevin
Beautiful lodge in a nice location well looked after and well maintained, will be booking again!
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful lodge. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion i have is to add a handrail on the steps leading to the doorway. We had both our elderly mums with us and they struggled a little up and down with having no handrail to hold onto. Lovely location and good base to visit local attractions from. Would certainly stay again!

A lovely lodge in a great spot on kenwick park We enjoyed our stay and loved the log fire as an added bonus through the winter months Would recommend it family and friends One slight issue was not enough hot water for two showers if using hot water through day and temperature on shower not hot enough so didnt get chance to use jacuzzi bath
Yvonne
Fabulous lodge, clean and had everything we needed. Peaceful setting. Could benefit from a children's play area when families staying.
Excellent property in a lovely setting. Only negative point was the poor stregnth of the wifi. This combined with difficulties in getting a mobile signal in the wooded area meant that communication with the outside world was very sporadic.
Perfect location, the lodge was spotless clean had everything you needed for a relaxing and peaceful holiday, will definitely book this lodge again!
We had a bit of a job to find cabin 83 on our 1st entry as it wasnt signposted that well. Also the main gate code number given on our email was incorrect. A bit frustrating as we kept trying. Fortunately someone arrived and had a different code number that worked. We used this for the rest of our stay. WiFi wasnt brilliant. Overall though the place was 1st class and we would stay again for sure.
Barbara
A beautifully kept and spacious Lodge, set within a quiet setting. The lodge was like a home from home, very comfortable and clean, and you couldn't ask for more. A gem to be savoured. Relaxing stay. In a central location for all days out to the coast, and situated near Louth itself, a lovely town
The log cabin was ideal for a peaceful relaxing holiday, it was well presented, very comfortable and had everything that you needed, the only problem that we had was with the very slow internet, we had our two teenage grandchildren with us and they rely on this media, this also affected the tv such as netflix. This would not stop me coming back and would recommend the cabin to our family and friends.
Andrew
Throughly enjoyed it but is in an isolated position, Suited us but maybe to quiet for some. Lodge itself in one of the best locations and met all expectations

The location and wraparound deck really made the holiday relaxing and magical. The only issue we had was the heaters. Some evenings there was an autumnal nip in the air and although we read the instructions we failed to get them working.
The lodge we stayed in was massive. Lots of room to chill out. Outside decking is big too. The lodge is a mile down a single track road from the entrance to the county park. It is so quiet and the forest of trees make it beautiful. Will definitely book a holiday there again.
We just needed an escape and somewhere to unwind after working throughout the pandemic, and this was perfect. Beautiful tranquil location in amongst the wildlife, yet the lodge was spacious and superbly equipped for a family of 5 plus dog. We could have lived in it quite comfortably. Good base for exploring Lincolnshire and some nice local walks too.
Everything lovely relaxed few days thank you
