Phillip

Fonaby is a nice flat which is clean, modern, comfortable and well equipped. It is right next to the market place of Caistor which is a small but nice town. The Chinese takeaway is good and so are both fish and chip shops which are very reasonable on price, there is a local coop and other shops closed by. Out and about there are lots of places to see, Lincoln, Cleethorpes, Grimsby, Brigg, Louth, Market Raisen and a huge antique centre near Gainsborough. If I was to be critical the parking could be a little tricky at times but we always managed and the entrance to the property was on a cobbled back alley which although was clean outside the entrance of the property it was dirty at the top of the alley. This is not the fault of the owners of Fonaby and we used the steps down to the market place to avoid it. All in all we had a good stay at Fonaby as it made a good base from which to explore the area.

Lovely cosy flat . All nicely decorated & clean. Had everything you would need. Unfortunately the outside was in need of attention. Window boxes falling apart & wheelie bin over flowing ! Caistor was a nice little town with a good Chippie, Helz kitchen caf, Coop and some lovely old buildings but it had three great containers in the square and some houses needed attention. Such a pity.

We had a lovely weekend stay at Fonaby! The apartment is lovely, clean and cosy and is in a great location. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and we definitely felt at home! Caistor itself is a cute little town with everything you need and it was the perfect hub for us to explore Lincolnshire, and the leaflets left in the apartment were really helpful in picking out some good local walking routes. We had a lovely stay, thank you

The flat was clean and comfortable. It had everything two people needed for a weeklong selfcatering stay. It is close to several takeaways and shops. The only slight downside is that the living room is overlooked by a car park. It did not bother us, but it might bother others.

Great location for visiting Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire. The cottage is extremely well equipped and the food basket and bottle of wine were a lovely touch. Supermarket and eateries are all nearby. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

Beautiful cottage. Really comfortable, clean, lovely place to stay. Easy access to visit North Lincolnshire. We got to see a lot of nature reserves, RAF history & lovely walks. After a busy day, you can come back to the cottage, pub across the road. Fish & chips the other side! Perfect!

A cozy and quiet cottage located in the heart of Caistor. Fonaby was wellequipped with everything you could possibly need including a comfy bed and superb shower. The owners were very thoughtful leaving a generous welcome pack and the heating on to greet us on a cold February night. The photos perhaps don't do justice to the quality of the fittings or the new sash windows. Highly recommended!

Had a lovely stay at the Fonaby cottage, all the facilities were perfect, which gave me a chance to relax and chill out for the duration of my stay, Just a very minor issue with the bathroom wash basin was very small and the push down plug did not work. Perfect little place, would highly recommend and may well ask to return there again,

It's a lovely, clean place and it has everything you need, nothing was missed. It was very thoughtful to receive lovely goodies for our stay. The bed is really comfy and clean. Parking is a bit of a niggle, not always getting a space and having to find somewhere else to park. On the whole a lovely place to stay

Fonaby is a lovely place to stay. All the essentials excellent shower, mattress, cleanliness, comfort and facilities, but it is also a really attractive and pleasant place to be. Great location for the Wolds and in easy reach of Lincoln and the coast. Caistor itself is charming with lovely flower displays everywhere and great places to eat. Thoughtful touches on arrival appreciated. Definitely intend to stay again.

Beautiful little property in the centre of a lovely little village, pub, restaurant, shop and takeaways all on the doorstep! Kitchen equip with everything you would ever need for a short break, lot of board games and books, Very clean and comfortable and welcome gifts were a lovely touch! We would absolutely recommend this place and would definitely book again if we come back to the area!

An excellent property very clean and in excellent condition. Suggestion for a net curtain in lounge being ground floor would provide some more privacy without losing too much light. Otherwise a perfect property, would definitely recommend.
